Let's just hope the restoration doesn't disappoint.

No. Target hasn't put a pre order links yet. Unfortunately I'm not optimistic about a Target exclusive this time.

Target hasn’t been doing exclusives for the 4K-specific releases unfortunately. Only the ones released day and date with the Blu-ray have they done exclusives for.

But there was a Target-exclusive 4K edition of The Lion King, and that was released a year after the Blu-ray release, wasn't it?

Do you have Disney+? The 4K version of the movie is already on there.

I do but my version looks exactly like the Blu-Ray transfer. Some people have the same issue as me whereas others are saying they have the proper 4K version which has colors that look like the original film and not the Blu-Ray film.
Farerb for example has a 4K version that looks like the original film.

Be still, my beating heart.
This is likely going to be the final version of the film on physical media, capping off twenty-eight years of releases that span six formats: VHS (1992), LaserDisc (1992), DVD (2002), Blu-Ray (2010), Blu-Ray 3D (2011), and 4K Ultra HD (2020). A fitting end for a film that I've collected continuously since a fateful trip to Blockbuster Video one November weekend. Of course, it now begs the question: now what am I going to collect?

Didn't you see Beauty and the Beast in theaters? Or do you mean you bought Beauty and the Beast for the first time at Blockbuster?
If I were you I would keep collecting Beauty and the Beast merchandise and memorabilia. That can be the comics, books, statues. I collect Disney Store Limited Edition dolls, but you probably aren't into that.

My aunt bought my siblings and me the original VHS at Blockbuster when we were visiting Virginia one weekend for a family reunion. I always remember that trip because we stayed at her condo and must have watched the tape two or three times during that weekend. I didn't see Beauty and the Beast in theatres until its 3D release in early 2012, but did finally see it in its original form at CineMark's "Disney Screen" programming series in the fall of 2016. It was the digital print that undid all the IMAX changes and has the colors everyone seems to agree is the "best" (myself included) but still hasn't shown up on home video yet.

Oh wow! Three times in one weekend! Awww! Well that is a great memory, and I'm glad you finally got to see the real original theatrical version of it in theaters eventually! I hope we get that one in this new release...

I haven't been keeping up with Blu-ray.com lately, is there any more news about the BATB restoration Farerb?

So I’m watching Beauty and the Beast on Disney+ and I don’t know how accurate it is colors wise to the original release, but I have noticed in some parts that Belle’s hair is a consistent brown/brunette instead of switching between that and reddish-brown.

I'm glad you feel that way about the restoration. I really can't wait to see this transfer you guys keep talking about because I'm dreading that the one on the 4K physical release won't feel any different to me compared to the Blu-Ray one.
