So I wonder how they are going to make a two disc release out of destino which is essentially a short. They must have tons of bonus features of picasso and disney.

The same goes for Oswald really, Unless they've managed to unearth all of the missing shorts from Universal's vault.

Have we ever had a count of how many Oswalds exist - from all three studios.

I think we did a count of the Disney Oswalds somewhere back, and out of the 26 shorts made, we came up with about 10 that seemed to be missing?
Although I can't really remember.

Just counted on wikipedia - 192 in total(who knows how many survive).

Awesome news!! Now I wondering to myslef if I want the other DVDs. Because before this I had no intensions on getting the DVDs for Dec. 5th release. I wondering when The Disneyland DVD will be released? Who was, or is going to get the Legacy Series DVD on the 5th?

Yay! Actual news! I'm really excited over this, especially at the prospect of it being upped to a 2-disc set. Now that it's part of the Legacy Collection, we can be guaranteed a meaty release aimed at die-hard Disney fans. The original disc seemed to be aimed more at families. Bring it on!

I was just thinking, it looks like we did get that late 2006 announcement after all!
Although I have a feeling that the further 3 volumes could end up being 1 discers. Unless they pack out a 2 disc set with unrelated material (after all the True life Adventures have Non TLA stuff on them) I can't really see how they'd have enough material for 2 discs.
It seems as though Maltin has been kicked sideways as Disney's poster boy, there's a new forgotten classic material bringer in town!
Who's thinking the Alice shorts could now also be on the cards!?

Hey, they did it for TLK 1.5
I can't wait for this!!!!!!! So glad to see it finally confirmed in a for-real way.
Never doubt UD!

Thanks! My Photoshop skills are, ahem,
limited to say the least, and I think I crammed too much stuff in, making it hard to see. I plan on making stylisih avatars and banners for myself in the future now that I've stumbled across a nice Photoshop tutorial online.
On the subject of 2-disc sets, there may not be enough material for Oswald and Destino, but there's certainly enough for Disneyland. Besides the main documentary and the supplements from the original release (the extended interviews, Radio City Music Hall footage, trivia game, and sing-alongs), they could include galleries for concept art, attraction posters, and photos, the film produced for Disneyland's 50th starring Steve Martin and Donald Duck, vintage TV specials, and (this is a pipe dream) ride-throughs of various attractions.

Yay! Finally some news on this. I was so suprised to see this thread, I knew no one would dare post anything if it wasn't something new

Great news! To get it as part of the Legacy collection feels like an improvement. BTW, are those GOLD tins? (Well, obviously not gold, but are they gold colored and made of metal?)

This has made a very sleepy morning a very happy one.
The fact that Destino and Oswald are coming out along with it is gravy. However, knowing that it is being released as part of a series makes me a bit more confident that they will do something decent with it, rather than skimp on the original specs.
I can't access the Flashy bits here at work - I take it we don't have a date yet?

We don't even know if they are even tins yet, all we know is that the DVDs come in 'high end collectible packaging', whatever that means!

Well It looks like we're gonna have to wait till they're released to find out!

No, they are just "coming". Although the fact the press release for the True Life Adventures said that subsequent titles would be released
throughout 2007 means we shouldn't have to wait until next Christmas!

Supposedly an announcement is coming next month, so a March-April release seems likely.

This is incredible news. This is the volume of the Legacy Collection I am most excited for. I'm so glad Disney has listened to our e-mails and complaints for this DVD to finally come out. I hope it comes sooner than later and here's to hoping it doesn't get pushed back again.
