Mm, Hugh Jackman.

Or Huge Assman as we call him. Not that he does have a huge ass. Or maybe he does. What is a huge ass? When does a normal ass become huge? Anyhow, he probably made a huge ass of himself by agreeing to star in Van Helsing.
I got the old classic "Around the World in 80 Days" 2 disc set from Play. But what's this? It's come in an Aramay instead of a 2 disc Digipak like the rest of Warners classic film 2 disc sets! Oh no! Warner are screwing the collector and being cheap to save money! Who cares that the content of the 2 discs is just as packed as their other classic 2 disc sets!?!
BTW: Attention UK readers - 10p of every sale made in the Play New Year sale is going to the Asian Tsunami appeal. Their sale includes DVDs, CDs, Games, Electronics and Gadgets.

Thank god I've never seen
Van Helsing. May have ruined my entire impression of him. :>

Grr, my Golden Girls set is great, but the second disc doesn't play on my DVD player! It seems to play on ever other DVD player (including my portable, and Kram's own DVD player), but it doesn't play on mine. The other two play fine, though, I should know. I watched both discs already.
Anyways, I got two cheap DVDs today:
How the West Was Won $6.88 at Wal-Mart
Cocoon: The Return $7.50 at Wal-Mart
HTWWW was shot in Cinerama, which I didn't know until I watched a bit of it. The transfer is HORRIBLE. Lots of grain. And it's non-anamorphic, which doesn't concern me much since I don't have a widescreen TV yet, but if I ever watch it on the portable, the picture isn't as good. And the two lines (because of the 3-camera cinerama technique) gets a little annoying since the center screen is a bit darker than the sides (both of which appear to have 1/3 of it cut off to fit in the 2.35 aspect ratio).
I've never seen Cocoon, but the sequel is pretty good so far.

I'm surprised most people around here buy more than one at once.
By the way, could someone tell me where to find the Xena DVDs at $40 or less? ; at least the second season so I can keep with it.
Thanks.
