You are right. God does not soften the blows. He didn't soften the blow for me when my daughter's father walked away. He didn't soften the blow when I thought I had the relationship I'd always wanted and then it blew up in my face. But I learned something. The trials and tribulations make you stronger. And I think
that we can agree upon.

I know what you're saying and I believe you. By the way- are you drunk? I don't mean anything alterior by that either, it's just that in my experience, when people experience the change of heart you have in such a short time and start talking lovey-dovey (you know what I mean, "I love everyone, I love the world, I love love") like that... they've been drinking.
Anyway, thanks for respecting me enough to not tell me your religion provides the answers to my life questions. The only crossroads I'm involved in in my life right now is financial.

Something that really annoys me is when I go to the eye doctor and he blows a puff of air in both my eyes. Then when I blink, he gets all pissed off because it didn't work, I can't help it, it's annoying and hurts. I just thought of that because I was watching the episode of Friends where Rachel goes to the Eye doctor and gets it done.
Also, He always shines a bright yellow light in my eyes and makes me keep them open wide, which really hurts especially since I have sensitive eyes, and again he gets mad when they're not open wide enough.

Things that Annoy and Aggravate me at the moment:
- Seeing my elephants on strike
- Not having bought a DVD in like, two weeks
- That I have to wait a whole week before I can go to Florida. I wanna go now!
- Finding out that Romancing the Stone is getting an SE at the end of August. I want it now!
- Going to every store and NOT finding a single widescreen copy of Silence of the Lambs: Special Edition. I'm about thisclose to ripping open the $40 boxset of SOTL and Hannibal and pulling it out and paying for it by itself...
- I'm annoyed that I messed up on my driving test. Everything was fine up until my left turn, which took me by surprise because my tester suddenly goes, "Okay, make a left turn here now!", so I made a rather fast and wide left turn and that made me not pass the damn test. Of course now I gotta wait until I get back from Florida in order to reschedule a new driving test...
- I'm annoyed that I confused Tab the soft drink for Tab the energy drink and bought the energy drink at Acme, thinking it was the soft drink. Now I've wasted a can adn have 3 more that are just sitting in the fridge.
- I hate waking up early and yet for the past week I've found myself getting up every hour at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 am...

My roomate got a copy of that exact DVD by subscribing to a movie club, Columbia House or something like that, and payed less than $5 for it. And this was of course after the deal that they give you to join. Which of course brings me to my next SUPERRANT:
- My roomate got this deal to get any 4 TV show sets off their selection menu for some incredibly low price, right... On the selection menu just happened to be the 4 disc set of the Absolutely Fabulous Complete Series 1 through 3 with an exclusive bonus disc of special features. That boxset is now out of print and costs over $55, over $10 more than the new 3-disc boxset of just the 18 episodes

To be honest though Lazario, there's not much new content on the Ab Fab bonus disc is there? It's basically clip-shows from the episodes.
Don't BBC America do a complete series set now (1-3 and 4 and 5?)

Actually... I don't know. But I just checked my facts and I found out that I was wrong before when I said that new boxset of the series 1 through 3 (why the hell did they re-release this in region 1?) has the 4th disc with the same bonus features. So now, I think I'll save $10 bucks and get the new one.

You need to try and get S5 too, it's (in my opinion) the best. S3 and S4 are a bit scrappy, but you'll probably need to see S4 to get the best out of S5.

Are you talking about the episodes or the sets? The quality of the shows or the amount of bonus features?

The quality of the episodes. I personally think the series was beginning to run out of ideas by its third year (although isn't this the series with the wonderfully dark "I told her to use the knitting needle!" outburst from Patsy? Which is both the funniest and shocking moment that Ab Fab has ever had. It's just perfect... shocking because its funny, and funny because its so shocking.) Likewise the 4th series (I won't use the word season, because their was a gap of 4 or 5 years between the 3rd and 4th series) was a less than sucessful comeback, although it has a couple of good episodes (the one with Saffy's play being the best - which incidently has a reprise of the "knitting needle" line).
However, Eddie's role and job is changed in the 4th series... it more focused on the world's need for empty vapid celebrity news and gossip rather than the fashion, trend spotting and making she was involved with before.
The 5th series is the best yet. I strongly believe every episode is a classic. Some of the reasons for this are down to a major event in the Monsoon mansion, which I don't want to spoil if you've not seen it. But it injects a little life and an ongoing arc into the episodes.
I suggest, if possible you rent S4. It may not be the best, but it's still Ab Fab. Also, from an extras point of view, S4 is the best series.

TV is so hard to "review" for me. Picking out it's good points and bad points are another thing. I think in regards to the change of subject matter, it was a good change. It worked because they knew the show was best when it kept up with the times. The thing that makes the 4th series really stick out for me was it's descent into disturbing things with somewhat grotesque effects (Patsy's broken arm, the "Land of Confusion" looking versions of Patsy and Edina in their old age, smoking needles, Patsy's "replanting ceremony"). I think it tried to go excessive to show excess. I'm very fond of the 4th series. I've very fond of the first 3 series as well. But that 4th series holds a special place in my heart. I'm glad they changed a lot of things. They kept the episodes on their toes I think. I also think it was one of the truest series yet. "Donkey" is my favorite episode of that series and surprisingly, it says a lot about dieting and being fat and competitiveness (for those types of people, the ones who've only ever managed to survive somehow- used too many of life's little crutches). Episodes like "Menopause" and "Parralox" poured on the excess, then "Small Opening" (the one you mentioned about Saffy's play), "Donkey," and "Fish Farm" evened things out by being more grounded, and "Paris" was supposed to be the other nostalgia episode - that was about fashion. And of course the other series before it did things with celebrities. Maybe not so news oriented but it mentioned them a lot.
I haven't seen all of the 5th series yet. I thought most of the episodes (especially "Birthin'" and "Cleanin'" - though I loved seeing Emma Bunton being so pushy) were too bland. However, I really, really loved 2 episodes. One was the Christmas Special, "Cold Turkey," and the other was the "Huntin', Shootin', Fishin'" episode. Actually... maybe the first one wasn't "Cold Turkey" - it was the one where Laurie Metcalf from Roseanne guest starred on and it ends with Patsy and Edina in some kind of dollhouse in a shopping gallery...
And the episode you mentioned where Saffron was locked in a room with Edina and Patsy and Patsy gives that "abort / knitting needle" speech was Episode 6: Birth of the 2nd series.

I just keep adding things to my list:
When people tell you: "I'll be right there" .
... and "right there" is like 3, 4 hours later. Plus, since they take forever to get to the place, they have to leave in a hurry.

Adding to my list:
People saying: Don't look there, and then everyone looks there, because we are "curious"

- Ants! (they're cute but they still scare the crap out of me)
- Remember those websites that used to countdown the days until the Olsen Twins were "legal" / 18? Those still annoy me

We used to capture ants in plastic easter eggs, then set them free outside.
I hate those countdown sites too. It's like the people there are thinking "5 more days and I won't be considered a pedophile!"

Actually, I think that's exactly what they're thinking. It's almost not their fault, I think the law on that is very funny. Most people who are turning 18 don't think about it at all - especially guys. All guys are horndogs anyway, even those under 18, so it probably turns out that a lot (if not most) of the guys going to those countdown sites are under 18 themselves drooling over girls that are now 18 and they couldn't have sex with those girls because if they could "get them," then those girls would be considered pedophiles!! But I do want to say that even though over 90 percent of guys are horndogs, it's important to try and treat them with respect because even that stereotype can be dangerous. I mean, I am a guy and everything. I am just sick to death of our society treating kids like they're stupid or that they can't have say over what they do with their own bodies. I mean, even when 2 kids under 18 are having sex, the older one is treated like an evil sexual predator, whether it's the boy or the girl who's older. American society is so screwed up; things like this will never make sense.

I just watched the 2nd disc for The Phantom Menace for some reason, and I found another thing that annoyed me:
When companies design the menu's for bonus features, when you highlight a bonus feature and play it, and after it's done playing, the highlight thing automatically highlights the next feature. I don't know why, but I just find it annoying.

LOL, I think the point of that is so you won't lose track of what feature you were on last. But to one's opinion, I think if you did remember what you last watched, the highlight to the next feature would be really annoying. Or, if you thought it highlights what you just watched, you click the next one so you skip a whole featurette!

In my house when people keep getting in and out of the rooms at night
I don't know why but it does. Probably because my house is small. But it really bothers me when people just keep getting in and out.
..and when my mom is the one out: that takes forever to get back and I have to put every electronic system I have on mute, because I know she waits just to hear something and then asking me to lower the volume.
When there's nothing good on TV
Never fails. The day you just don't feel like playing videogames and/or watching some of your movies, there's nothing to watch.
