Well, I just did one of Ariel. She's sad because she knows shes going to star in such a cruddy movie...just kidding. It's based off the first little mermaid...
I know her head came out larger then its supposed too...which sucks because I didn't notice until I actually took photos of it. Anyways if it weren't for her alien head, I'd be extra proud of this one since its the first one I did with out looking at a reference photo.
Head shot

I like it, Jeremy! We never get to see Ariel do her sad-on-a-rock thing when she's in love with Eric under the sea, probably because she's so happy in love, and her crying in her cave just isn't the same as seeing her face and expression like this. I really like this one. The flower represents her love but she's sad over the "he love's me not" or "I can't be with him". I really love her expression, and her delicate features were actually done beautifully, it just needs the right proportions, like with the head, some moody color, and it would be amazing.

Thanks a lot you guys! I'm definitley going to erase the entire body and make it fit her head heh. And you are exactly right about the flower
Disney Duster. When I was thinking about coloring it in, I thought to do her entire body and the background sort of darker moodier colors, while the flower being the only object to be bright and almost neon with pinks and yellows to symbolize that there is hope for her...
gunna started on the changes right now

I'm sorry...I actually like the first one better. The first one looks like her more...and actually...I think the proportions are better. She's a little mermaid, even when she's in love. And she always had a big head. The second one she just looks...longer, to me. I'm really sorry.
I'm trying to pinpoint the problem...I think it really might be that in the second one she's just taller/longer. Yeah, just longer. She needs to be bigger in height and width, not fatter but...I dunno, maybe you get what I mean. But I hope I'm not giving you the wrong advice a second time! Also, I don't care how weird this sounds, but watch her butt. It looks like she's sitting less on the rock in the second one...it looks like she's missing some of her butt...
Oh, I really wanted to say this, too. This goes for everyone. Why do you want to not look at anything when you draw it? I mean, don't you remember how animators have model sheets and clay models and need to study animals and humans and need to be checked to keep things on model? Animators looks at things, even pictures of their own characters, all the time to keep them exactly right, and lookin' good, so you're all allowed to, too!

Meh, I might as well post one of my lovely pieces. (Sadly, I don't have a DA account yet . . . maybe I'll get one . . . if I can balance it, of course!)
Here's a TLK2-based fanart of Young Kiara and Kovu.
I have some other stuff of Ariel, Melody and some other Disney characters, but I have to scan them first . . . XD
Oh, I love seeing the art on here! It's really good! Keep it up, you guys!

Jeremy88, it's beautiful! I love how it evokes melancholy, it's almost like you can feel her pain

Juuchan17, such a cute drawing! I love how they glance at each other, they're so cute!
You're both amazing!

Oh no! It looks worse?

lol. Well at least your being honest! And constructive critiscism is always great.
The changes I did were:
Make her seashells slightly bigger, along with her right shoulder a little more defined and broader. Her stomach and mid section is also a little bit thicker then before. Her fin is slightley thicker aswell as longer. The reason I made it longer was because I felt it was too short and didn't match her human half since that appeared to be longer then her tail. And her tail is actually much longer then she is herself. I think wear went wrong was making the tail too long, especially where her fins connect to her tail area.
Anyways, thanks again!
And That is also very nice picture of Kiara and Kovu Juuchan!!

Thanks, you two! I have more TLK stuff on this Lion King site, but most of them are old and MSPaint (like from when I thought I could draw with a mouse . . . I draw better on a TouchPad any day!)
I used pictures for reference, but yeah, they're one of my favorite Disney couples to draw. (Second only to Scamp and Angel, then Lady and Tramp . . . I love my animals. LOL)
Thanks again! Maybe when I scan some more work, I'll show you, okay?

I really like those Sailor Eric! I love how some of them are totally different styles from the others. Makes every single one of them specially unique.
By the way, I think I've seen your Beauty in the Forest/Sleeping Beauty and Bambi picture before. I thought it was really cool, and still do!

I would've preferred it not to have been done in M. Paint. Nice Song, though.

Wow, fun thread, it's cool to see stuff from so many!

Too bad some of the older pics are broken.
Here's a couple of my latest . . .

You can see larger versions by clicking the links below either one.
You should recognize the first from my sig banner, and the second one I just finished today. I've finally gotten a little break from some other projects I've had to work on, and hopefully I'll continue to have enough free time to squeeze in drawing a few more Disney girls.

Both of them are so pretty! I absolutely love them! What did you write in Atlantian on the bottom of the Kida picture? "enigmawing", probably?

Thanks! And yeah, I thought it would be fun to "sign" my user name in Atlantean so I downloaded the font.
