As of today, The Netherlands can try out Disney+ for free until November 12. I already registrered this morning and it looks so good! Unfortunately I have to work today but when I'm at home I'm definitely going to start watching!

I'm also signed in and browsing! All the exclusive content and new series and movies will not be available untill november 12th, but the rest of the library is all available in great quality! Looks awesome, works fast and has EVERYTHING!!!
I see two seasons of the "The Little Mermaid Series", 4 seasons of "The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh", no sign yet of Hercules, Aladdin or Tangled series...

Yay for Mermaid! Boo for no Aladdin, Herc, or Tangled!
All seriousness, really cool that you're getting to try it early. Hopefully they roll that out for everyone soon.

It's also fun that most movies includes an "extras" tab, which includes a selection of deleted or alternate scenes, making of documentaries and other fun goodies! including exclusives to the streaming service. For instance for Aladdin a deleted song for Jafar is added "My Finest Hour" fully storyboarded (3 minutes), in full introduced by Musker, Clements and Eric Goldberg. But also scenes which were previously only available on special or platinum edition releases of the movies.
Currently started re-watching "Chip 'n Dale, Rescue Rangers", which contains all 65 episodes!

I’ll have to look into this. I was disappointed to hear that the service wasn’t going to be compatible with the Firestick at launch.
Excited to hear about the Netherlands launch today. People seem very excited to find lots of classic gems there.

So glad that Mermaid, Pooh, and Lilo & Stitch will all be there. I hope they add Aladdin and Tarzan as well. What's interesting is that they even have the old Spider-Woman cartoon from the 70s.
I'm really glad they are including Disney Channel Original Movies as well since I've always loved some less obvious selections like Zenon and Pixel Perfect.

As seen on the launch in the Netherlands, I think they actually delivered on something I've been hoping for from the outset: namely, classic cartoon shorts, with Mickey, Donald and the rest:
According to the Disney History Institute, a Disney fan page on Facebook (where that image came from):
I can safely assume they will be adding a lot more of their back catalog to the service as time goes on.
Considering that the initial list from way back when included "Steamboat Willie", I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If these old cartoons are included in the U.S. as well as the Netherlands, as I hope they are, then I will definitely be more excited than I am already.

justcuttinhair wrote:From what I understand, Disney has not reached an agreement with Amazon; so I am not sure if Disney+ will be available for Fire products or not. Especially since we have about 8 weeks before the launch. This sucks! Because I stream everything through my Firestick. I have hope that there will be an agreement due to Hulu and the package deal that Disney is bundling.
Firesticks are easily hackable, I'm sure there's a way to get disney plus on there.
well that's great, but I cant even figure out how to torrent(Ive tried) let alone how to hack a Firestick.

Im kinda hoping Disney makes their own plug-able device available for those who cant or dont want to get access through their computer.

Looks like a pretty complete list of Disney movies (TV-material and shorts not included):
https://www.listchallenges.com/disney-movies
I still want shorts collections and other Disney stuff not yet released on my country to become available on DVD. While a streaming service can offer a lot, you don't have to worry about anything being pulled from it as long as you have it on disc, and you don't have to pay monthly for your DVD collection. But everything is of course better than nothing.

I'm glad to see Andi Mack on that top five show list. It's the only Disney Channel show I've bothered with and I really think it could have done well with a fourth season. Or even a spinoff exclusive to Disney+ with Cyrus and TJ since Disney seems more free with including gay characters there compared to their actual Disney Channel.

"Mickey Mouse Club"? I don't remember that in the article.
