That frame is not funny. At all. Disney, don't act like the new Teen Titans or the PPG. Save the "hip, cool, adorably-awkward quirky faces" for Disney XD please.

I actually thought it was funny. But creepy and weird too. So...whatever.

She wears gloves -- she's a villain.

I thought so too. She looks like Gothel with a new new hairdo. Plot twist: Gothel is reincarnated as this "friend."

The creative talent behind the show will give an exclusive presentation on the series on February 4th. Tickets go on sale on January 12.
As Disney fans look forward to the premiere of Tangled: The Series, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club celebrates the original film—which follows Rapunzel and her hair-raising adventures with Flynn Ryder, Pascal, Maximus, and other beloved friends—at The Walt Disney Studios!
Join Disney luminaries for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes presentation on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 50th animated feature, Tangled. Along the way, you’ll discover the fascinating development of this fan-favorite animated feature.
D23 attendees will also learn more about the upcoming Tangled: The Series from our friends working on the show, which is set to take place between the events of the original 2010 movie and the 2012 short Tangled Ever After. Throughout the new series, Rapunzel will have to find her place in the kingdom as she navigates her newfound family, her people, and her fiancé.
This one-of-a-kind event will also include an exclusive gift created just for you, as well as time to shop at the Disney Studio Store.

There's supposed to be an east coast screening of Tangled over at WDW's AMC the following week. The info behind it hasn't been passed yet, so I'm not sure if we're getting everything here, but there's generally a lot of overlap between D23's various screenings.
If I get my gold pass in time, I intend to go to the Orlando screening, so I'll let you guys know what they talk about!

Most of the replies on the YouTube page are negative, yet these same people have no problem with sequels to Despicable Me, HttyD, Cars, Toy Story & Ice Age.

Heh. Nostalgia. Not necessarily bad but not always good to fall back on that excuse when talking about newer things.

Not a big fan of Flash/Toon Boom/puppet animation (whatever we're calling it these days), but this is looking pretty decent to me. I generally like the visuals, even if I'm not a fan of the animation style. And of course, having the voice cast back and Alan Menken for songs is a big plus (though I don't know how prominent the songs are going to be overall). I don't get Disney Channel, but I'm hoping this eventually makes it to Blu-ray (though I know that's unlikely considering I don't think any of their shows have been released on the format)

Disney's
replacing Ashley Judd with Julie Bowen as the voice of Queen Arianna because they wanted to take "the character’s voice in a different direction".

Who was the queen in "Tangled Ever After"?

I think this looks brilliant, extremely excited to see more. I only hope it comes to the Disney Life app so I can actually see it !
I'm glad the whole hair thing isn't being ignored purely for the fact she's iconic (obviously) with the hair; it looks like it could be a fun twist as to why its back. And I like the fact neither she nor Eugene is thrilled about it.
CANNOT WAIT to hear the music as well....I'm in the minority but I loved the songs from the original, so am very excited to see what Glen and Alan do here.

She was voiced by Kari Wahlgren in the short.

I kind of found it jarring when the Queen spoke in Tangled Ever After, since she was a non-speaking character in the original film. (I know it was only in the imaginary sequence, but still).
I really liked the way that the King and Queen's storylines and emotions were conveyed strictly via their actions and facial expressions in the original. Of course, this probably only worked in the context of the film because they were portrayed separately from Rapunzel and the rest of the cast for the majority of the film. So while in some ways, I feel like I would have liked them to remain non-speaking roles, I can understand that that may not be viable if they are integrating them into a serialized story where they will presumably be interacting with the rest of the cast.
