While on holiday in France, I walked in a book store, and I saw a Cinderella book, with the “Story Of” illustrations. It had some illustrations I never saw before. It had a particularly beautiful one of Cinderella and the Prince dancing, a close-up. Another one featured Cinderella holding the cage in which Gus was captured, and she was beautifully drawn. I couldn’t buy it, because it was the only copy they had in their store. So I had to order it. But as soon as I receive it, I’ll post some pics.

Is anyone buying that new Cinderella Princessography book? I went ahead and ordered it, but I’m just curious if anyone bought it already, and if yes, how is it?

Ooooh, I wish I could buy that book! I bought a Disney Princess book that featured Cinderella, Ariel, and Belle's stories. It had a close-up of Cinderella and the Prince, I wonder if it's the same one, so please post pictures like you said! I do have a book with Cinderella opening Gus's cage, and I LOVE that picture because it shows one of my favorite moments from her.

I will be buying the Princessography book, I just wanted to wait till it came out.

I finally bought the Cinderella: Princessography book, late since I thought it came out later but it actually came out earlier, lol, whatever. It came in today! I read through the whole thing and, yep, I love it. It's like it was made for me! It has nice pictures, and lovely details. I like the style they used. I love that it's told by the Fairy Godmother and it mentioned how she did her magic and mentioned fairy dust and, to paraphrase, said, "I wouldn't tell Cinderella's tale without magic!" because that has always been my favroite part and I dislike when people leave it out of a Cinderella adaptation, and it even called Cinderella's dress silvery blue! I liked the profiles of all the characters. I liked the descriptions in particular of the Prince, the stepfamily, and Lucifer. They even say the King's name is Charming which I can see happening since Kings often name their sons after them. The only thing I can really complain about is I would have like more imaginative writing that maybe revealed more new things about the story and characters that aren't so boring or typical, like for example if it said something like Prince Charming really liked going on adventures out of the kingdom rather than that he just liked making his kingdom better by visiting other kingdoms. But I liked how it said Cinderella was planning on leaving her family after the ball! Oh, but the worst offense of the book was they didn't draw the castle or the slipper right! The castle was just...I don't know, it looked like some generic crappy thing that was not the way it looked in the movie at all, and the glass slipper had like some weird shape of three upside tear drops instead of a heart. But the rest of the book is great. At most, it is just a beautiful book I'm glad I have. If you're a very big Cinderella fan, I would get it. But I'm the biggest Cinderella fan here, lol.

Thank you! I had been wanting to make them for a long time! I really like your Snow White avatar! Is that from the comic?

They look nice. Too bad they seem only planned for their fairy tale films.

Those books are gorgeous especially the inside artwork for Sleeping Beauty. So glad they made Sleeping Beauty blue instead of pink.

I hope they are released in the U.S. as well and that they include the rest of the classic fairy tales (at least Snow White to Aladdin).

You're right about the blue! Clearly the only reason Aurora is in pink all the time in merchandise is to differentiate her from Cinderella (whose dress should be silver anyway) because she looks much better in blue.

There's also a Snow White book coming out around the same time as the SB book.

I'm curious as to what the color of the inevitable Cinderella book will be now.

Glad to hear that Snow White is confirmed as well. I'm sure Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin aren't far behind and probably Tangled too.

Those books look awesome! Very nice. And the Sleeping Beauty one is blue and pink. Nice touch. I would like Cinderella as probably dark blue with silver. All the fairy tale films done would be great. Those are my favorites.

They are also doing Dumbo, so it isn't just the fairy tale stories :

these are really nice! Reminds me of the old Disney treasury books that collected the stories using the concept art and film stills to illustrate them. Id love to get most of these, hope they will be available in the USA too!

You can find the Sleeping Beauty and Snow White ones on the U.S. Amazon although Amazon Prime is not applicable to them unfortunately.

However, whenever I want UK books from the U.S. I use Book Depository. Shipping to the U.S. is free and they already have listings for the upcoming Dumbo and The Little Mermaid books as well.
