If you want those movies, then you don't want true Disney animation. What you want is fake CG shams of what Disney's feature animation is supposed to be.

I just want to say only one thing and then I'm backing out of this. I will always, ALWAYS prefer 2D animation and I do hope it makes a return sometime in the future. Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia are two of my favorite Disney films and I won't deny that they're better than what we're getting today, Disney or otherwise. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy something that's of a different medium even if it isn't the classic form of animation. And besides, I'd rather watch films like Frozen, Wreck it Ralph, and Tangled over films like Madagascar, Shark Tale and those pointless Ice Age sequels. That is my take on that argument, I'm backing out of it, and I suggest we continue with the topic that we started with instead of turning this into an ugly thread argument.

To me CGI is just not a respectable medium for animated films anymore. Now it just exists to kill off hand-drawn art (a timeless, appealing art that's been around for far longer than CGI) and not only corrupts studios like Disney away from it, but even the general audience. And while those studios love to claim that hand-drawn is a dead art form, CG movies have become my dead art form, cause I've stopped caring about them completely.

That's where I'll leave it as well. My original point was, I won't buy Disney games that are used to promote Disney making CG movies.

And that's your opinion, which is just fine. Now, stop shoving it down our throats and attacking our enjoyment of CGI movies and turning every forum you see here an anti-CGI/Disney rant.

You just can't help yourself can you, we get it your autistic but drop it already. Stop bashing people for having different likes then you do. And constantly bashing projects that are cgi. We get it you only like 2d animation good for you let us have some peace without your constant tirades. Your being a royal pain in the ass like a fly that keeps flying around driving people nuts.

Simply responding to what you posted. Now that brings up the question as to why you're fine with live-action and stop-motion stuff being included in the game, but not CGI based movies, despite the fact that ALL content in the games are depicted with computer graphics.

I'm aware that all the Disney worlds and characters look 3D in-game, but a lot of them were still based on 2D animated films at the source. It's like when Disney made the video game for Princess and the Frog. It had your standard 3D graphics for a modern day console, but it didn't change that the film itself existed as a return to hand-drawn animation. It was simply the game that was based on that. Video games are really an area where I don't have issue with CGI anyway like I do in the actual animation industry. Japan makes all their video games 3D now, but at the same time their anime is still 2D.

Honestly, I’m still expecting Frozen to be in KH3. Tangled makes sense as the first or second world you visit, because it doesn’t really have a lot of potential for boss fights. There’s really just Mother Gothel and the Stabbington Brothers, and the regular human boss fights are usually dull. They’ll have to create some Heartless bosses. Frozen, on the other hand, should be later in the game because there’s more potential difficulty there.

I hope so anyway. I still hate how they had Mulan of all things be the first "baby" world in KH2.

I support you too. It IS a horrible thing to know that WDAS gave up the 2D animation
CGI animation will never replace traditional animation, and this is a wrong decision The Walt Disney Company made 2 years ago.

YET I definitively don't think this topic is the right place to talk about issue. Here we should let those who are interested in the Kingdom Hearts franchise discuss about the news regarding the future games. Besides, I believe there already is a topic concerning the debate Traditional animation/CGI animation. So why pollute this one?

Yay for a new game ! And yay for a Tangled feature !

I like that KH is one of the few Disney things that actually shows some diversity, hope they keep that up. Would be happy for Tangled to take the hit and feature Ralph or Mulan etc.

This thread is about a new video game, not about Disney's CGI films. We have plenty of threads that support hand-drawn animation; it is not appropriate to hijack other threads with the most threadbare of reasons solely to fit it under any particular agenda.

The vanilla edition of the game was a bit too easy overall. That's why they made Critical Mode for the Final Mix version. It doesn't make Mulan much more warlike, but it really balances things out and those Centaurs can really hand your ass to you if you're not prepared.


Me? I love that the spells affect the environments, which-at least in Tangleds case-look practically pulled from the movies.

Comparing with the D23 trailer, Twilight Town has seen a big improvement.

The Attraction Flow rides might actually change colors based on world.

Love the teacups, and the Chariot-the latter of which is a Keyblade transformation.

They expanded on the guns transformation too.

Sora's new outfit is nice, sleek, a bit DDD-inspired, and looks more practical, and it also looks like he'll keep his old KH2 outfit through Olympus. He probably gets the new one when he becomes a master, as there is no other feasible reason at this time.

His hair is pretty cool, too.

Flowmotion is back, which is nice.

The worlds may actually be enormous enough to be single areas.

Really great direction they are taking with the graphics and the art style.

Well, I was hoping that either Rapunzel or Maximus would be the party member or nobody at all, so I'm glad. If Flynn had been it, the only time I'd use him is to throw barrels at his face.

Plus, it's always nice to have more female party members. Ariel was kick-ass in KH1, but Mulan was boring until late in the game in KH2.

I hope they have some returning levels in this game, as there was in the second game. It would also be interesting to have a level themed to "Dumbo". As you know, in KH1 and 2, there were summonable characters, some of whom had worlds that could be visited in the games. Here's a list of all the summonables (with their worlds being visitable when possible):

• Simba in KH1 (world: Pride Lands - KH2)
• Genie in KH1 and 2 (world: Agrabah - KH1, 2, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days)
• Bambi in KH1 (world: N/A)
• Dumbo in KH1 (world: N/A)
• Tinker Bell in KH1 (world: Neverland - KH1, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep)
• Mushu in KH1: (world: Land of Dragons - KH2)
• Chicken Little in KH2 (world: N/A)
• Stitch in KH2 (world: Deep Space - Birth By Sleep)
• Peter Pan in KH2 (world: same as Tinker Bell)

All told, that's six characters with worlds to visit. As of late, Dumbo, Bambi and Chicken Little are the only ones without visitable worlds. I think it would be neat to have Dumbo's world be visitable. In fact, I even saw a video on YouTube depicting the possible music for it:

Of course, that music seems rather sad and slow. But that music would only be the basic gist of it. In the actual game, that music would be a little more sped-up. Maybe the Dumbo world could be the game's "optional" world, like the 100 Acre Wood in KH1/2 and Atlantica in KH2.

That would mean that Bambi and Chicken Little are now officially the only two characters without worlds to visit. I have no idea, however, if there will be more summonable characters in this new game.
