The general guess is they'll do a 50th Anniversary next year.

They may do a tie-in with "Saving Mr. Banks" this winter.

This looks like this was taken from an entry on the Disney DVD website but since I couldn't find it there now, I assume it has been removed. The same thing had happened with the Atlantis: 2 Movie Collection entry. In any case, it's a sign that it will be released in the U.S. soon.

I'm assuming it will be coupled with Lilo & Stich 2 and not Leroy and Stitch?

Won't be getting it either way. The animation on L&S2 isn't horrible, but it's a disposable film nonetheless.

I'll get the region 2 single disc BD.

You're assuming correctly.

Does anyone of you think we have an actual chance to get all 4 Stitch movies on Blu-ray?

I expect North America will get another title dump day this August which will see the two movie collections of Lilo & Stitch, The Emperor's New Groove and Atlantis. Maybe even sooner if they want to give August to Hercules, Robin Hood and The Sword in the Stone. Hell we could get all of them on the same day...

I'm predicting a release schedule similar to this:

May: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
July: Lilo & Stitch, Atlantis: the Lost Empire, The Emperor's New Groove
August: Hercules, Robin Hood, The Sword in the Stone, Tarzan, Return to Neverland (could be some big Boys/Disney Heroes ish promotion).
October: Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid (and sequels)
November: Monsters University

Save Aladdin and The Jungle Book for tent pole Diamond releases in 2014. Couple them with releasing Mary Poppins and 101 Dalmatians at key points in 2014 (Early Spring and Late Summer) and you've got a profitable year. Give us die-hards the package films on cheap combo packs, and the Black Cauldron: 30th Anniversary set in time to promote Halloween and we have the whole DAC catalogue released by Christmas 2014.

Also I can see Stitch the Movie and Leroy and Stitch being released as two movie collection soon after Lilo & Stitch/Stitch Has a Glitch. Both are far superior to Glitch, and will likely sell very well.

Yay, Lilo and Stitch Lilo and Stich ! Considering the movie is so popular, surprised it hasn't been released earlier on Blu.

Make sure if you guys have the Big Wave 2-disc edition of Lilo & Stitch to hang onto it, given Disney's poor track record of porting bonus features from the DVD to the Blu ray editions

Also I would recommend that everyone pick up the 2-disc edition before the pull it into the vault like the have with Mulan

What I find odd is that the only DTV sequel that hasn't been released on Blu Ray, but every other one was.

The transfer on Hunchback is amazing. It's quite an upgrade I could tell.

Wouldn't around November/December likely be when a snowball chance in hell 50th Anniversary for The Sword In The Stone would come out?

I agree with this. I think that Lilo and Stitch and Atlantis, at least, will be released on June 18th. The date for Atlantis in Australia is earlier in June, and Japan is getting Lilo & Stitch on June 19th (source: http://www.amazon.co.jp).

Does anyone know if Mulan, Hunchback, Brother Bear and Roger Rabbit are also being released on blu-ray in DVD packaging or did Disney stop releasing those?

These are all available to order in dvd packaging as well as blu-ray packaging according to the Disney Movie Club online. They should be available that way elsewhere.

I know Amazon has Roger Rabbit available in DVD packaging.

Hunchback - UK Question

I'm slightly disappointed the DVD included in the Hunchback combo pack is the old DVD with the old transfer...

I wanted to ask people from the UK: Is there a DVD only re-release planned for the Hunchback in the UK along with the Blu-ray? Tried to look on Amazon.co.uk but couldn't find anything.

The reason I ask is that two years ago the same thing happened with Alice In Wonderland where the US got the old transfer on the DVD, but the UK had the new one, so I imported it just because it's important for me to have the better versions on DVD too.

Help from people in the UK would be much appreciated! :)
