 Maybe that's why I like it so much then. Nothing wrong with a bit of Slutty hair, it looks great when it's kinda messy and wild, à la Britney I'm A Slave 4 U or J.Lo I'm Into You.

Belle and Aurora are gorgeous :o i love both their hairdos :D
And Ariel's dress goes very well with her red hair :)

Where are Pocahontas, Mulan and Jasmine? I can understand the first two, but Jasmine used to be on every princess item in the past

You know Disney Princess only has one race slot, and now that they have a full-on black character--they don't need Jasmine to create some facade of equality anymore.  Disney Princess needs Affirmative Action.

Seems like Belle went to Megara for some styling tips.

Good to see Pocahontas and Mulan getting some publicity these days :D

Belle and Jasmine are the best dolls imo. I hate Snow's skirt and I wish they made Ariel in her green dress but overall cool.

Hmm, not bad  as long as the characters won't have this new design on their future home video covers, I'm fine with that. :D

No. The re-design is just for merchandise.

It's from a 2012 Disney Publishing Worldwide catalog.

Am I the only one who thinks Rapunzel's re-design makes her look slightly Asian? Like she's a blonde character that was cut from Mulan?

I'm so used to seeing Ariel in her pink dress that it seems weird for her to be wearing a dress based on her mermaid attire.

I like it, though!

Thanks sotiris, but don't scare me like that. I don't think this is permanent. I think this will go on for about a year and then fizzle out.

And if enough fans complain, it may die even sooner than that. Anyone care to join me in banding together to stop this thing?

Anyway, I'm delighted you showed me a Cinderella Little Golden Book is coming, I wonder if it'll have pictures different from either the old book or the new pictures they made that they have re-printed in at least two books I've seen by now.

That Cinderella "special book" looks cool but it looks like it's just her two new stories in one. Speaking of, here's another new book of hers now with this re-design:

Cinderella: A Royal Wish
The Fairy Godmother's wand is not working right, so readers of the book get to use a magical musical light-up wand to set things right for the event they keep using over again, Cinderella's wedding, haha.

And they got the castle right on the cover for that book! So in this new art for the Diamond release sometimes the castle's right and sometimes not...

And is that a HOLOGRAPHIC Cinderella coloring book?!?!!!! Soooo cooool!!! I want!!!! No, wait...it's Hologramatic. What the hell's that? It seems it's just saprkly and shiny using holo...stuff? But it's cool that it's that stuff, but with coloring!!! Now I'm real sad her new design is on it!

I don't get it. Why would they go back to the film to make pictures that very, very faithfully capture the exact classic look of the film in the new illustrations for the books (I've seen them, I know, it's beautiful) and then update her look to something unrecognizable from the film and put it on covers for this new Cinderella release which is for the original film?!?!!!

Does anyone else think the coach riding along the giant clock face, with the castle, is just so cool? i do. : D

Anyway, I wonder what that new Snow White book is. She looks sad.

I like Ariel's new pink dress better than the green one, which I'm surprised at because I thought red hair did look better with blue-green colors. Maybe it's because it's a purplish, light enough pink. I still say if in the movie her pink dress was just a little purpley it would fix people complaining it clashed with her hair. Her seashells were purple.

Rapunzel is not re-designed, that's her same clipart that's been used since her movie came out. They drew her badly which is why she looks Asian to you, lol.
