I wish there were more bonus features.... But I still can't wait to own this film on DVD! Besides, the audio commentary will probably be quite good. And hopefully, the delted scenes will be something substantial!

I posted this in the other P&TF thread earlier and got no response, so perhaps this will get one:

The BBFC have passed a full-length (97minute) Picture-In-Picture Work in Progress version.
THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG [Additional material, Picture In Picture, Work in progress] ( Video 18/02/2010 ) Runtime: 97m 27s
Director: Ron Clements,John Musker Cast: Anika Noni Rose (voice),Keith David (voice),Bruno Campos (voice)

I would guess it will appear on the Blu-ray release. What would be cool would be if like on my French Silent Hill movie BD, you could make the PiP image full screen when desired.

Once again, Disney puts full-color artwork on the Blu-ray disc, but they make the DVD disc a Paramount-style gray. Also, just like the Blu-rays of G-Force and Touchstone's Surrogates, they don't put any interior artwork inside the case when it is opened; it's just plain white.

But here's something really strange: The Blu-ray disc has the newer Dolby Digital logo on it, but strangely, the DVD disc has the older Dolby Digital logo on it! I'm not sure why... maybe the DVD discs were being made before the Blu-ray discs?

youre all very welcome.

Ive been watching the BD all day.
do u guys want the BD menus, i forgot to ask my buy why he didnt post them (i had to take digital pics of the hdtv, as i don't have a blu-ray driver on my computer, i have a ps3, maybe thats why he didnt...lol)

let me knwo if u wanna see the bd menus, they arent the same as the dvd ones.

So far i was very happy with the special features, they have cool action to animation clips, and a nice making of, with special look at the return to animation and musicals - though tehy could have been longer.
i also would have loved ot see the special that was aired on ABC before the movie was out, with celebs reflecting on past disney classics - too bad its not here.

The picture and sound Q of this BD, just flawless!!!

UGH! It's not fair that the Blu-Ray version will have all these amazing features that the DVD won't. What about those that don't have a Blu-Ray player?

Oh well. Thanks for everything Mike!!!

Question: Wouldn't it make more sense for them to release the combo in DVD packaging and the BD only release in the BD packaging? Especially considering the combo is using the color scheme that used to follow the "Deluxe DVD" editions?

THE WORK-IN-PROGRESS is a pop up box that goes along with the movie on the top left corner of the screen, and you have the option, when u hit "play movie" to add that to the film.
its not a stand alone full screen film , like we once had with BATB

I was hoping the bonus-features would be longer (only twenty-two minutes? Give it an hour! You have plenty of space!). That said, the commentary and work-in-progress editions sound great.

So does the release include all the featurettes people were saying were online?
And did they add any more minutes/featurettes to those?

According to that Blu-Ray.com review, the deleted scenes are the same four that are on the DVD. It's both satisfying and disappointing that there aren't more than that.

There are over an hour of bonus features (not counting the commentary & work-in-progress edition). The 22 minutes in the blu-ray.com review was for ONE feature. There's over half a dozen other features listed under Magic In The Bayou with the time for each.
