I just want to apologize if I sounded very angry and upset earlier. I didn't want to depress anyone. I understand that shipping during the holiday season is hell, and my apologies to my Secret Santa and hope I didn't make him or her sad.

The package I missed on Wednesday that I picked up today turned out to be one from a friend, so I'm guessing my Secret Santa one won't be here till Saturday. That's okay, since that means four straight days of gift opening (Wednesday I got gifts from co-workers, today from a friend, tomorrow from family, and I'm assuming Saturday from Secret Santa).

If my gift didn't come before Christmas, I'd open it in honor of New Year's once it got here.
There can be New Year's gifts, can't there? :P

My mom checks the post office everyday for our mail. Today I got home from work (house cleaning with my boss) at noon and pop into mom's office to tell her "hi". She points to a package on her hideaway bed, it was for me!

I opened it and found:

DVDs!

Thank you so much, Just Yourself! I'm working on collecting all of Tim Burton's films. I like Batman Returns more than the first Batman film because I've enjoyed the Penguin in it since childhood (Danny Devito is such a great actor!). I wanted Edward Scissorhands for nostalgia too.

Mom admitted that she considered hiding the package away till the 25th. I'm glad she didn't go through with that idea. After I opened it and showed her what I received, I told her I would've wanted my Secret Santa know the package arrived as soon as possible so they'd be reassured it didn't miss Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Secret Santa! :santa:

Edward Scissorhands is one of my personal favorites, as of Halloween! :)

So glad you received and enjoyed your gifts, Sky Syndrome! :) I really do apologize for shipping so late. I tried to get a Gizmo plush made by NECA to go with the movies, but I ran into some trouble with the company I bought from and I thought you'd like the movies. I'm a big Tim Burton fan myself. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :santa:

Cheers,

Aw, thank you for putting so much thought into my gift. I'm psyched for Burton's Wonderland film next spring. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you! :santa:

I've got something funny to share. A few weeks ago, Christmas gifts to me, my sister, and my mom arrived in the mail from some friends of mom's in Arkansa. Today, I opened the three gifts they sent me and one of them was a 4" statue of an emperor penguin. What a coincidence! All I would have to do is attach a little rocket prop to the statue's back and it'd look like it stepped out of Batman Returns. I don't know why mom's friends chose to send me a penguin, they know I'm horse crazy. But I have nothing against penguins, I always thought the emperors looked classy.

the 10th...as in January??? :? why is it going to be that long...are you on vacation so you won't return home until then?

If that's so....I wouldn't worry as much about the reindeer as I would the forum mods and a very dissapointed mixed feelings Luke the Forum and site creator

Edit - I didn't realize that you wouldn't recieve your gift until the 10 of January....but that could put the wrap up of 2009 Secret Santa on hold....

Well I did mention it before, so I don't see why anyone would be pissed off at me (all mammals included) ?!

Where was it you mentioned that? I couldn't seem to find it in either the Wish List thread or here.

I could have sworn that I mentioned it somewhere.
I'm sorry if it pissed you off though Luke, it's nothing that I did on purpose. :(
(now that I think about it, it's actually kind of ironic that I ruined Christmas considering my username ! :P)

My Secret Sants gift arrived today! It was the Monsters, Inc. Blu-ray in a beautiful steelbook case. A Christmas card was also included that was filled with nifty Alice in Wonderland stickers. Who sent this? Why, it was none other than my very own Cindy Lou Who Anne! I think this marks the second time in UD's history that two people ended up being each other's Secret Santas the same year. Thank you so much, Anne, for the movie, card, and stickers. Monsters, Inc. is one of my favorite Pixar films, and I feel it's rather underrated. I'm looking forward to seeing it in glorious HD. I'll have to think of a good spot for the Alice stickers. Perhaps on my Nintendo Wii. Thanks again; merry Christmas and happy new year! :D

Great!

I sadly STILL haven't received my Secret Santa present. Its been driving me nuts! So much so that I decided to spoil the surprise and find out who sent it so maybe we can figure out what the hell happened.

I feel sad that I had to ruin the magic, secret and fun of Secret Santa. But I've been doing EVERYTHING in my power to make sure I don't miss the present, including buying a mail box for my house, and it frustrates me to no end that nothing has come out of it.

I'm so relieved that you finally got your gift! I was getting really worried. I'm sorry that it didn't arrive before Christmas. It took much longer that the lady told me at the post office! At least it arrived before New Year's Eve!!! ;)

It was so funny when I received my gift and saw your name on it... I really was looking forward seeing your reaction when you receive mine! I also think it did not happen often that two people ended being each other's Secret Santa! :D

Well, I'm really happy that you like your gift! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends! :santa:

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

After weeks of waiting and doubt, I finally received my present from Gurgi30!

I got from him Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs DVD!

Thanks so much and deeply sorry over all the fuss, but I really was beginning to worry that it was taking so long.
