Disney Duster wrote:Thank you very much enigmawing, but I did know about how to use Print Screen to capture video images. It is looking at the film one frame at a time to capture each frame that I really need. Do you know how I can do that?
You can use WinDVD to step forward one frame at a time, and use their tool to do a sreencap each time.

I'm sure there's other software out there that will do it automatically, but I'm not familiar with anything specific.

I was going to rent Secret of the Magic Gourd just for the trailer, but (not surprised) Blockbuster didn't have it. :(

Screencap Software?

Alas, it isn't free. And I guess there's nothing that comes already with a PC that can do it? Well, even if not thank you for helping.

Disney Duster, the trailer didn't seem to mention a release date did it? I'm sure you would've mentioned it, I'm just checking to make sure I didn't miss any info in a different post. I'm just so excited for this DVD :D

:
you can use VLC Player to take sreencaps, go to www.videolan.org to download it. the best thing about it is that it's 100% free and doesn't have any viruses. i use it all the time to take screencaps. :D

after you download the player, open it up and click on the video tab at the top and you should see a snapshot option. you can pause the video and click snapshot to get the screencaps you want. hope this helps!

Totallyminnie...I haven't even seen the trailer, sorry!

Disneystarsfan...does that VLC Player also let you pause a film frame by frame, go through one frame at a time?

The trailer didn't say a date, no. I think that it just said "coming soon".

Just a quick update- I purchased The Secret of The Magic Gourd, for the trailer and reward points. I ripped the trailer and I'll be uploading it to YouTube soon. I’ll let you know the minute it finishes. I’m sorry for the delay. I really liked the trailer; I thought it was heavily geared towards boys.

I just uploaded it to YouTube. If anyone wants the original video file, for a higher quality, please feel free to e-mail me. I'll be taking some screen- caps as well. All the clips look restored in the trailer.

Thanks for the youtube link, Mike! :D

Even though it pretty much repeats what's already known to be included (a game, deleted scenes, the enigmatic "and more"), i really liked how Disney edited it. Makes it seem more exciting than it really is.

blackcauldrondvd.com isn't working. i'm assuming it will be soon because it's listed on the trailer.

Thank you!! :D Great trailer. I agree with Escapay, they really do make it seem more exciting than it is, lol.

Also, I love how they refer to it as a "classic" (I mean, aside from what we Disney fans know about films being considered actual "classics" like on the list and what not) it made me laugh because the way they make it sound to the general public is like its some great movie that everyone's loved for years, lol. Hm, not so much Disney. More like you'd rather deny it was made for years upon years, but really bravo to them for admitting its existence.

somehow and I don't even know how it worked....I was finally able to get screencaps....through something called gigapocket that was downloaded to my computer already so all I needed to do was hook up the red yellow white av cables from my portable dvd player....to my computer and to my surprise it worked....I was actually just making sure the wires I found were good....

So though I am late if you want sceencaps I have the basic screen caps and I can make more of differ scenes throughout the trailer....just give me an email...I know for some people (like me) youtube takes forever to load if you have a dial up modem and live in the middle of nowhere....

anyway if anyone wants screen caps of any dvd that I might have....let me know....I can probably do it..just email me....I have not figured out how to post the pictures on here so for now just email me if you want screencaps of a certain movie to see if its worth upgrading or just shoot me an email....I am certain I can get download of the whole movie on gigapocket...also if anyone has info on gigapocket plmk as I want to know more on what I can do on this thing......

btw my email is colormefrankenteddy@yahoo.com

well, no not really. the closest thing you could do with VLC player for frame by frame is click the pause button off and on rapidly. sometimes you get lucky, lol.

I'll be getting it and adding it to my collection. I recall thinking this was a terrible movie, which confuses me as to why so many people here love it. I'll give it a once over, I've been known to appreciate a Disney film much more on the second or third viewing, but I doubt this will be the case. However, I must have it in my Disney collection either way.

Definitely! I think Lowry worked their magic on this one. I can hardly wait to get rid of my non-anamorphic and washed out Gold Collection DVD.
