Yeah, umm... About that? :)

I was just checking my digital copy of TLM that I got on iTunes (but didn't download to my iPad, iPhone or iPod) and the two misplaced shots in POWY were put in the correct order. ;)

Oh, and the lady I spoke with about the errors said she'll send me a mailing label and a form to mail both the Blu-ray and DVD of the film to them to get the corrected discs. And while I was at it, I even asked about getting a corrected copy of my Pinocchio Blu-ray as well and they're willing to help with that too. :D

Thanks for sharing the amazing news! I'll go ahead and buy it while it's still on sale, get with the program, and give them feedback on how much I appreciate them correcting the swapped scene error. :)

Exactly. The feedback here is key. I wasn't going to be buying this, but I'm stopping after work to pick it up just so that I can get a replacement and give them gushing feedback about how great this is, and encourage them to do the same in the future when issues occur.

Thumbs up Disney!

Awesome. I only had the amazon digital copy redeemed, and had heard from someone who had the iTunes version that it wasn't fixed yet. Glad to hear that's not the case anymore.

Any chance we can get them to put the clouds back into Lion King now ;-)

This is surprising. I think the last Blu Ray from Disney to get a recall was Pinocchio. I've called and the pre paid label is coming in the mail soon.

Here's some pictures of the Digibook, which Target priced at $24.99 just like the previous digibooks for Peter Pan (have), Brave (have), Secret of the Wings (don't have) and Cinderella (don't have but wish I did, I bought the Best Buy steelbook instead). Please excuse my fingerprints on the cover, my hand holding the book open, and the scotch tape that I decided to use later.

Yes! I certainly hope they'll keep this up! I don't mind giving them my money when I have every reason to be satisfied with the product ;)

Escapay, thanks so much for the pictures! It's gorgeous and I know now I definitely have to have it! :D

(I'm sorry for the ignorant questions. I don't really get many new releases so that, by the time I actually buy one, I have no idea what a lot of the editions are or what certain terms mean. )

At Wal-Mart on the box of the regular Combo pack there's movie money for Frozen. Not sure if that's just Wal-Mart or not.

What should I do? If I buy it now at amazon, will it be the corrected disc already? And if it's not, do you think that they will ship the correct discs outside the US? (in Spain)?

Should I wait?

:S
I would like to know this as well. No way am I going to buy the messed up one.
I don't know if they still do it, but when there was the replacement program for the "More Silly Symphonies" Treasures-Set, they did send me the replacement discs without arguing (to Germany).

Do you know if this is part of the DVD-only version or not? If so, I might buy that just for the different cover + free Frozen ticket, but I'll skip it otherwise.

He/she is speaking for himself/herself. Why don't you do the same?

It's obvious that the changes aren't nearly as bad as some (you) make them out to be -- even among die-hard Disney fans on this board, myself included.
You're wrong dude. He said it doesn't matter, not it doesn't matter to some people, which would be a true statement. I said it matters to many people, which is a true statement, as so many people voiced it here on this board.

I actually got my copy from the DMC on Monday. Mine was the 3D Combo Pack....
Mine usually takes three weeks.

Edit: oops! I must have declined. Not on my bank activity or my order history.

I know! They have a facility within about 1/2 hour of my house. Not that I've ever seen it.

No worries, it's not common for anyone to always be on top of every new release. I'm surprised I still manage to keep up on the variety of editions for any given Disney film. I just wish they were releasing more catalogue titles, not just to get the product out there (and hopefully, with better transfers and more bonus features), but also to get me excited to keep track of them again.

Does any of it matter anymore since a replacement program is available? At this point, it's just an argument about semantics.

Obviously second print copies will have the corrected discs. How would one tell the difference between first and second run?

We don't even know if the second print run will feature the corrected discs. Going by past examples and experiences, in Disney's case, they won't be corrected. Pinocchio didn't have the corrected discs released to stores, as I bought my Pinocchio Blu-Ray shortly before it went OOP. It was still the disc with the missing audio. And neither of the corrected discs for "More Silly Symphonies" or "True-Life Adventures" had later waves anyway, given the short print run for the former, and the "when the stock runs out, we're not reprinting them, so it's a quiet OOP status" for the latter.

For all we know, this option might only be available via the replacement program.

This is why I advised those who haven't yet bought it to take advantage of the first-week sales (and any store exclusives, like the Target digibook and the Best Buy lunchbox) and go through the replacement program. It may take longer, but it'll guarantee a corrected disc much more than chancing a wait for the corrected batch of discs to arrive on store shelves (especially with no way of actually knowing it's the corrected disc).

Of course, if anyone wants to chance it and wait until Disney's "Returning to the Disney Vault!" promotion to buy the disc a couple years from now, that's entirely up to them.

Duster, Duster... relax man. I most certainly didn't say it "didn't matter". Maybe how I should have worded it is "no matter how minor it is, a mistake is a mistake and they ought to fix it." Most certainly didn't mean to offend, as it seems I have? Anyways, I was one of those ones it DID matter to, and I'm glad they have the replacement program going. It's the only reason I'm buying this release.
