Wow ... I'd forgotten how hideous that Tangled trailer is

The teaser was superb, but this is just all sorts of wrong.

^oh very nice! reminds me of a lot of the concept art for Pocahontas.
I think its pretty obvious Maui is ugly and exaggerated and making weird faces cuz he's being aimed at the boys who might not want to see a movie with a girl protagonist.

no! Girls cant handle ugliness and weird faces, except for a raised eyebrow and a smirk b/c that means grrrl power!

I've learned not to judge Disney characters from their promotional materials, but the typical raised eyebrow look might be fitting in this case

Yeah, what's wrong with a Princess movie being manly. I mean I know a ton of women who like manly stuff as well. I have bets with the Rock attached, this movie will be one of the manliest Disney Princess movies.

YES YES YES! But, this is strange that Soo may be playing a small role in the movie, yet she's the only one announced out of only 4 people with 2 characters unknown?

Sorry for remarking this folks. I don't know if I've said it priorly, but here it goes;
Moana will be Disney's first CGI Princess of color.
Yes, there I said it.
At least we got another Princess of color with Tiana priorly, so we can't accuse Disney for racism, despite getting several white Princesses in a row. But coincidential that this era of Princess movies from Musker and Clements have featured non-white Princesses.
At least Moana herself will be invigorating in that sense due to her being the first CGI Princess of color.

Is that the teaser poster? I mean, it's basically just a variation on that concept image we've seen since the beginning, but I like it. Hopefully they can keep the marketing in line with that leading up to its release.

Trailer will drop this Sunday, June 12, just 2 days later than Tangled's teaser back on June 10, 2010! Right on schedule.

Nice first poster even if it's an already seen image. I expect the animation for the water to be beautiful.
Keeping my expectations low for the teaser trailer considering how disappointing they've been in the past for films that turned out to be good. Remember this?

I like the picture, and the tagline, "The ocean is calling."
I'm sure the teaser trailer will be all about Maui and/or the sidekicks.

That really is a callback, especially with the fact that the same directors are behind both movies.

I'm just amazed that everything in the poster looks handpainted besides the water. I mean, if you know it's CGI it's obviously CGI, but from a passing glance it does look like really well-painted concept art. I hope they can retain that kind of style for the rest of the film.
