I understand you are determined to hate this movie no matter what, but Beauty and the Beast did not invent group opening numbers. In that case, then “Belle” is a knockoff of “The Prince Is Giving A Ball” from 1957’s R&H’s Cinderella and “Welcome to the Kingdom of Once Upon a Time” from the Radio City Music Hall production of Disney’s Snow White.

I'm not determined to hate this movie and my comments about it have been milder than others' recently. In fact, I'm going to take my nieces to watch this film in theaters.
Neither of your examples popularized this trope. I literally had to search about this production of Snow White and it only had 38 performances? Come on.
Disney have been doing this since Moana (which came out six month before the Beauty and the Beast remake). I'm not saying it's wrong to do this kind of song but it's overdone at this point.

The trailers indicated some kind of introductory number with the village, but it's nice to have a name to the song now. Pasek & Paul will likely end up being the one thing about this movie that I wind up liking.
I would have sworn I remembered hearing something about Andrew Burnap's character getting to sing, but I don't know if we've heard what if any songs he's participating in.

Rachel Zegler talks about the new character 'Jonathan' in the newest issue of the D23 magazine:
"I think people aren't expecting the humor that Andrew's character, Jonathan will bring to the story. [...] I think the most comparable character would be Flynn Rider in Tangled"

I love that Chinese poster. Snow's and the Evil Queen's poses look great!

I like the concept but I have the feeling that Snow has been created with different pictures of her. The pose is really weird.

I like the new bits of footage, it looks magically colorful which makes me happy. It will be visually stunning, I'm not worry about that. The rest though...

That poster is absolutely gorgeous, phenomenal, cool and perfect. I agree, that should be the poster! I am surprised I love the mirror frame.

Jeremy Swift as Doc sounds fantastic (I actually campaigned earlier on for Brett Goldstein as Grumpy).
Zegler's new comments ... are probably making the best out of a bad situation (that Disney absolutely created for themselves). I doubt very much whether she or anyone involved in this project have actually had any kind of awakening of the animated film's importance aside from the baseline "it was the very first cartoon!" dialogue. But we're way past an ideal outcome for anyone.

It looks more natural. The gown looks really great in the Georgian one.
