Complete and uniformly excellent? The most since Sleeping Beauty? What about 101 Dalmatians? And I found The Princess and the Frog to be very messy, just like jpanimation.

Not complete and uniformly excellent...that doesn't even apply to Sleeping Beauty. I said the MOST complete and uniformly excellent since Sleeping Beauty. 101 Dalmatians has recycled animation, and a rushed, third act resolution not befitting the great writing of the 1st and even 2nd acts.Disney Duster wrote:Complete and uniformly excellent? Bingo! That's the truth. But it can't hold a canlde to Lilo, though.DisneyJedi wrote:Really? I thought [Princess and the Frog] was the best one since Lilo & Stitch.
I do, too, but it's a concept that most of UD has trouble grasping, so it seems.jpanimation wrote:I know what it's like to have guilty pleasure. There are bad movies I enjoyed as a kid, and with nostalgia still enjoy now, but I certainly recognize the poor quality. Clear and utter bullshit. And Cars didn't do well because liberals hate cars, right? You said that in the Pixar-thread. Give me a break, please! One crazy, bizarre statement after the other paranoid claim. Everything, literally every cooky excuse is good enough for you to defent a very weak film, is'n't it? Including the preposterous claim it's the best film since Sleeping Beauty.Rudy Matt wrote:I think Princess and the Frog's failure was due to falt-out racism.
A couple commenters dont have that view. They see the Disney logo and the CGI and think it's Pixar, no matter how Dreamworks-ish the trailer is.jpanimation wrote:Not with those trailers, more like DreamWorksajmrowland wrote:Some people will think it's Pixar.
agreed about Lilo and Stitch being the best, but I still enjoy Bolt and Treasure Planet.jpanimation wrote:I agree. Hard to believe it was that long since we got anything worthwhile from them.DisneyJedi wrote:Really? I thought it was the best one since Lilo & Stitch.
I don't think "racial issues" had anything to do with the movie's "failure". The movie was pitted against other big moneymakers, both good and terrible.Goliath wrote:Clear and utter bullshit. Rudy Matt's nonsensical statements about PatF have been thoroughly debunked by yours truly in this thread:

You win the thread. As well any others that have come before or will come after this.Super Aurora wrote:She's a woman. She knows her place and knows she must cook for her man.
the latter.DisneyJedi wrote:Forgive me if I am drilling this into everyone's heads, but is the movie's CGI still going to have a painterly look- in other words, a hand-drawn animation feel- or was that abandoned long ago?
Well, crap. I was really hoping for the former.Super Aurora wrote:the latter.DisneyJedi wrote:Forgive me if I am drilling this into everyone's heads, but is the movie's CGI still going to have a painterly look- in other words, a hand-drawn animation feel- or was that abandoned long ago?
Wouldnt surprised me if Tangled got delayed. Judging by the trailer, it doesnt even look like this film even has a story yet.RodryCroft wrote:Did you read this????
"There are rumors that Rapunzel could be delayed until 2011, and Winnie the Pooh would be the movie that we would see on 24 December. This is a result of the changes that Glen Keane has made in the film, so it could be to rethink a big part of the film. However, this remains as a rumor, because the charge of Walt Disney Animation Studios are looking at July as the last month to work in the animation of the film."

(I tried to translate as best I could for your comprehension)
I want the final film perfect, and I trust the decisions of Glen Keane more than in any other Disney Animation, because as you all, I've been waiting for it a long time. But it was almost planned my trip to New York to be there at the premiere on November and I still want to go xD
So, what do you think??? It may finally make this movie as great as it seemed when Glen was directing
(Sorry my bad english, by the way xD)
I thought it was being released November 24th?jpanimation wrote:
I don't know if this means anything but Apple Trailers just posted the Rapunzel trailer yesterday with the November 5th release date. If they were planning on delaying it, I think they would've told marketing to cool it down.
There are two dates on the page, November 5th and November 24th. I just went with the one that had larger text:DisneyJedi wrote:I thought it was being released November 24th?
