1 Villainous ‘The Princess and the Frog’ Character Was Inspired By Michael Jackson and Prince

That might be why Facilier is kind of attractive to me in a way at times.

I love the image of him and Lawrence!Naveen staring into the mirror together, where he's smiling--it's partly why it's one of my favorite scenes in the movie. I still wish Facilier had another scene or two.

They say
The Princess and the Frog came out in 1999?! And that Marilyn Monroe was the model for Tinker Bell? With all that wrong information, I'm wary of if they really did base Dr. Fscilier on Prince and MJ.

whether or not any film maker will admit to it, I still believe it since the moment I saw him dancing in silhouette. Not sure about prince, but I always got MJ vibes from that.

I can believe it, too. I just wish Disney would let us know themselves so I know for sure it's true.

Does anyone have any idea who the artist for this might be? It's really pretty, I've seen it before in the past, wish I could figure out who the artist was.
It's in the shape of a phone covering. I remember seeing it on Amazon years ago and was looking for it again but couldn't find it. I thought if I knew the artist, that might make it easier to find possibly.

That's David Gilson's art. He's the member here known as Prince Kido.

Ah! Should've known, their artwork has always been gorgeous.

Thank you!
While I was browsing through Amazon for phone coverings, I saw one or two with Tiana in her white "Almost There" / flapper dress. I hope they continue to use that dress more and more in merchandise as time goes on. It and the bayou wedding dress were always her prettiest ones.

I'm glad to see they keep branching out and showing her in more than just the bayou wedding dress and blue dress. Personally, I never liked the blue dress, which makes it even better. The look above was my third favorite (albeit a distant third) after the bayou wedding dress and white "Almost There" flapper dress with the feather in her hair and the fur.

I wonder if this new artwork is something from the Tiana series.

^ I would doubt that. Just like the Zootopia mural pic wasn't from Zootopia+, you know?

Cute! I wish they had Tiana let her hair loose in the original, but it's better late than never. And is that supposed to be her grandmother in the photo with Eudora and James? Could this commercial somehow tie into the Tiana show?
Also, does anyone here speak Portuguese? What does the little girl say that makes the blonde woman smile? I only understood "Mom, do you know Tiana, the Disney Princess?"

I admit, the thought did cross my mind if there was any connection, at the very least was it animated by the same people that are doing the Tiana show, but nah, I think it's completely separate to be honest. I do think we'll see more of her with her hair out though, that seems to be something they would want to push that would probably get some good word of mouth from the black community.

The animation in that commercial is beautiful. Tiana looks great with her hair like that.
I don't know if I understood correctly what the little girl said, but I think she was saying that Tiana wears her hair like that young woman.

The animation was very lackluster. It looked like it was created for a TV series rather than true, actual Disney Hand Drawn animation.

I think the animation looks fine. Pretty close to the original film.
Absolutely nothing like TV show animation or cheapquel stuff.
