How confusing is that all these product ranges still reffer to the movie as Rapunzel. I seriously don't get how Disney thinks it's better to rename this movie this late in the game...Poody wrote:More doll pics:

Well, they can't call it "klitten" for obvious reasons. "Verward" or "In de war" makes it sound like a psychological thriller about someone with schizophrenia, "Verstrengeld" is way too difficult for dutch children. The only logical title for the netherlands would be "Raponsje", for sakes of recogisibility, etc. "Tangled" is a translation mess, that way every country will need to go for a COMPLETELY different title, since the term is very hard to translate as it has different meaning or can't be translated into one word in other languages... Disney does not understand that Rapunzel is a different thing altogether. It's as iconic as anything they've ever made. The Princess and the Frog was clumsily titled to begin with. Even in the trailer they said "everyone thinks they know the story of the The princess and the frog"... uh no.. we know about "The Frog Prince" though.... If anything, TPATF could also be a sign that audiences don't want twists on their fairytales anymore? Tangled could even make thing much worse.

I actually don't like Rapunzel's Dutch name (Raponsje). Every time I talk about her I refer to her as Rapunzel.
