Ariels'prince, you obviously care what I say because you continue to reply to my posts.
First of all, your post makes no sense to me, as per usual.
I never said I decided anything, so lay off. It's not a fact that those are the only Disney Princesses, so stop trying to convince me of it, because it won't work.
I understand everything perfectly fine. It's YOU who doesn't understand many things.
Why does my counting have anything to do with Kida?
I don't think I'm the Disney Merchandising CEO, and wouldn't want to be, because it would mean you and all the other 10 - year old girls would be the only ones buying my products.

I'm done with this petty little internet fight. I honestly don't care what you say, and me, along with numerous other people on this forum have tried to stray you away from the mentality that you're opinion is the only one that counts, but obviously your stubborness prevents that from happening. I hope you know that this is an online forum, and none of your bickering matters in real life. Its only cause is to aggravate.

No,I reply because I can't read those nonsense you wirte.
Whatever

you keep thinking that Kida is a Disney Princess from the line just because you count her and she's not.
YOU"RE the one who doesn't make what you think and I and anyone else doesn't care what you think.
You"re keep fighting wrong things about FACTS so knock it off.
And many people like the Princess,if you were the DCP CEO you were already fired from the moment you came.
Just because you don't understand doesn't mean that your posts means something.
Well,I had enough of you and how you keep making fight and replying everything I post.
Amy-I know that Kida is a real princess and her father is a king but she's not a Disney Princess and not a Princess from the line, but PeterPanFan decided to wirte nonsense and make another fight no matter how many people will explain him what's true.

Oh, My God. Ariel'sprince, you are getting me confused with you! People disagree with you because you don't make sense and don't care about anyone else's opinions. And try to attack me more, I really don't care. I won't be reading this thread so posting more insults towards me will result in only you reading them.

PeterPanFan,you"re rude, snobbish and the only thing you do is trying to creat fights with everyone so I really don't care what you think and had enough of you.
I had enough of your nonsense and don't care about you,I try to make topics while you just creat fights with everyone.
I don't want to read another word of you and here I"ll stop this argument.

Kid: Mommy, Mommy. I want this princess Kida toy!
Mother: NO! Look at the packagaing, it's not official merchandise from the Disney Princess line. She's not a princess!
Kid: Yes she is she's called princess Kida. She's brave, noble, strong and true and exhibits all the qualities you'd hope to have in a princess. Unlike Aurora who's got a nice pair of melons and got her hands on Philip's crown jewels.
Mother: Look Aurora comes in Disney Princess packaging, she's clearly superior because she's part of a line with a name. Just like the platinum DVDs which outshine all other DVDs.
Kid: Hang on mommy, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and The Emperor's New Groove aren't platinums and they knock seven shades of s*** out of the so called "platinums".
Mother: What! How dare you! How dare you insult the platinum line up, don't you see that because it has a label it deserves our respect more. That's it no Disney Princess Soup for you!
Kid: For heavens sake mother it's just regular soup with a different label on the can.
Mother: Right that's it, you've shown blatant disgregard to the merchandisiing lines Disney have created.
Kid: Mommy I can't help but feel that you're being taken in by pointless merchandising labels.
Mother: Right, that's it. Don't make me fetch the hose!
Kid: I'm baffled that I as a mere child in this artificial conversation turn out to have the power of common sense whereas you, the adult seem to be somewhat cognitively lacking. I seem to have the power of free, reasoned, rational thought.
Mother: Don't worry I'll beat that out of you. If there's one thing corporate America does best it's beating reasoned thought out of people til they create a series of drones who would buy a rancid old cat turd if it had platinum edition slapped on it. And soon the rest of the world shall follow! Mwah ha ha ha!
Kid: You have bizarrely now turned into some kind of villain which is probably due to the fact that the person who's created this little dialogue has lost the thread of where he was going with this.
Mother: [yokel]I don't likes the way you is speechifying young missy! I thinks you is some kind of here witch. Now I'm gonna beat some learning into ya, with one of those there official Disney Princess whupping sticks. Go get one and bring it to your Ma![/yokel]
(Kid goes to fetch whupping stick)
Mother: Not that one!!!!! That's got Eilonwe on it and she's not canon! SHE'S NOT CANON!

OMG, ichabod, that is very clever.
And

for mentioning Eilonwy (even though you spelled her name wrong).

You also spelled Phillip wrong too ichaod. You're not my friend anymore! (despite your AMAZING BIT 'O DIALOUGE!)
Also I'm sure that's the same parent who thinks widescreen is witchcraft. But hey, at least Eilonwy has more merchandise in stores now.

Say, I just watched The Lion King last night, only because my Grandma wanted to see it, since she hadn't seen it in a long while. I still like the Lion King, but I think it's one of those movies I watched way too many times as a kid so the "WOW" Factor is kinda gone. I still got sad when Mufasa died, and loved the part when Simba regains his throne as King and all the lions roar. Other then that I didn't bother watching the Special Features since it's kinda awkard to travel the DVD.
I give El Rey Leon a nice 8/10.

Well yes, and at the same time referencing my Disney Princess Unenchanted Tales story.

I'm siding with Dan on this, the merchandise line is full of it's flaws and shouldn't be taken seriously at all.
Just because a Princess character is not in the merchandise that does not make them any less of one or deny them that title. To say it does is just plain silly and ignorant.
Ariels Prince, like it or not Kida is a Princess regardless of what your DisneyPrincessianity "religon" says

I'm not taking sides, but, again, whether or not you think it's annoying, we need to remember that Ariel'sprince means the princess merchandise line and only the princess merchandise line when he writes "Disney Princess". He even said that he knows that Kida is a real princess; when Ariel'sprince uses the lowercase form of "princess", he is referring to the fact that a character is a member of royalty.
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but this argument could be over if we just accepted that that's how he writes and thinks...just remember when you read his posts to look for a P or a p.
Or Disney could just add Tigerlily, Eilonwy, & Kida to the merchandise line, and this discussion would be over.

Man! I thought this was "The Lion King discussion" board but we got endless debates on "Who can be called a Disney Princess" I have a simple solution: make ALL Disney female (human) heroins into official princesses! So include Jane, Esmeralda, Kida, Alice etc. etc.
But seriously:whenever I see any "Disney-princess" merchandise it 's : Snow, Cindy Ariel, Belle, Yasmin, Aurora. No more. I think that's quite enough - we can add Tiana later on. Criteria: of royal blood, by birth or marriage.

Yeah, I saw this thread and was like:

"It was 5 pgs when I last saw it!" and then, "Oh..."
Also, to keep to the actual topic, I'm not as bothered with the message as you are (but, then, I've never really wasted much thought on this movie). I suppose it's easier to accept the message if you're the lion and not the antelope.

If you are talking about the circle of life message, then yeah it is a bit weird. It confused me a bit when I was younger since it made it say that you eat things to keep the balance going. But as I got older I realized the meaning behind it all.
The circle of life is nothing more than a metaphor for the food chain. The food chain is needed to preserve balance in nature. It prevents overgrowth and overpopulation as well as extinction and death. In the movie, the Pride Lands withered because there was nothing to eat, there was no balance. All of it shifted towards Scar and not towards the rest of the herd or nature. So the circle of life, as macabre as it sound, really does involve the consumption of other animals in order to keep things in check.

Well, just my observation. I'm sure I will watch TLK again in the future - and try to ingnore the weaknesses in the story. A question: since we are neither lion nor antelope, what animal do you associate yourself with?
To make another comparison to
Bambi: that movie was also 'natural' but yet not so much according to nature (an owl in reality does not befriend rabbits) and in contrast to the "animals welcome the new-born prince" scene in TLK, the one in
Bambi was a very intimate, private occasion.
To be a princess or not to be a Disney Princess

Thanks Ames for your great explaining and yes, I'm Mike!
Dan, if I may use your name, I have occasionally seen Maid Marian in Disney Princess books, and we know Alice and Tinker Bell were grouped in there sometimes, too. But those have seemed to be mistakes around the franchise's start. The consumer products web site says the cast is only Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan. Those are the only Disney Princesses right now.
Meanwhile, any princess in a Disney movie is a Disney princess.
And of course, even Disney doesn't tell every department and part of the company everything, and they mess themselves up. For instance, a Disney press book featuring Cinderella's horse was called Frou, when in reality his official name given when the original Cinderella came out, but wasn't mentioned in the film, is Major.

Ok, Disney Duster, Ames, Dan and all the Princesses.. can we continue with the real topic of this threat now?
