don't apologise, I have nothing against HMV at all!

But while we're on the subject. Why in the name of hell are people listing Disney / WB shorts as TV shows?

For crying out loud people they are theatrical shorts!!

1. They pad out the list. :P

2. They most likely have been on TV at one point or another, and a good number have been edited into TV programmes (look at the Disneyland TV series and some early Disney Channel shows).

Yes but many films have been on TV too. Does that make them TV movies?

btw the answer is no!

Oh you smartypants. And I thought that you'd rejoice over the fact that I was finally becoming a fan of TV shows on DVD.

That was in the sales earlier this month. I always happen to see the LT sets in the sales (probably due to overstock from no publicity :headshake:), so I wouldn't worry; you will probably find the LT sets at around £20 in the three or four weeks after Christmas (aka the time when I am very naughty and go DVD crazy )

I have recorded to DVD+RW some shows that are not currently available on DVD:

JAG - David Jame Elliott and Catherine Bell, I have every episode from when it was on NBC and then when it moved to CBS. All ten years and I only missed one episode.

Alias Smith and Jones - Western-comedy from the 70s with Peter Deuel, and Ben Murphy as two outlaws who must stay out of trouble while on pardon. I have all three seasons of this show on DVD+RW thanks to the Westerns channel.

Legend - stars Richard Dean Anderson and John DiLancie (he played Q on Star Trek Next Generation) in this western tale which incorporated a crazy doctor played by DiLancie, and a former gunslinger trying to live down his past. Lots of fun............I wish this one would come out on DVD soon.

First Monday - James Garner as a Supreme Court justice in the US Supreme Court. Series only lasted 13 weeks, but it was really good.

These four shows would really rock my world if they came to DVD soon.

Can't remember if I ever replied to this or not and I don't wanna read all 9 pages at the moment.

Anyways, here's mine:

I Love Lucy, Season One, Volume 8 (when Season 6 comes out, I'm gonna splurge and buy all the seasons at once)
Star Trek, Volume 8
Star Trek, Volume 40 (eventually I'll get all the Star Trek series on DVD, but I want a price drop!)
Mary Tyler Moore: Season One
Mary Tyler Moore: Season Two
Three's Company: Season One
Dynasty: Season One
Remington Steele: Season One
The Golden Girls: Season One
The Golden Girls: Season Two
Doogie Howser, M.D.: Season Two
Home Improvement: Season One
Lois & Clark, The New Adventures of Superman: Season One
Friends: Season One
Friends: Season Two
The Best of Friends: Season Three
The Best of Friends: Season Four
Friends: The Series Finale
Family Guy: The Freakin' Sweet Collection
Firefly: The Complete Series
Desperate Housewives: Season One
Coupling: Series 1
Coupling: Series 2
Coupling: Series 3
Coupling: Series 4
Mad About You (promotional disc with one episode)
Heathcliff/Super Mario Brothers (cereal box disc with one episode of each)

A few public domain titles:
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (20 episodes)
The Lucy Show (30 episodes)
Make Room for Daddy (3 episodes)
Tales of Tomorrow (3 episodes)
Mr. and Mrs. North (3 episodes)

TV Miniseries:
The Thorn Birds
Scarlett
The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All
Lonesome Dove
Return to Lonesome Dove
Streets of Laredo
Dead Man's Walk
Dinotopia
Dune
Children of Dune

TV Movies/Specials:
A Charlie Brown Christmas
I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown
The Five People You Meet in Heaven
Voyage to the Planets and Beyond (aka Space Odyssey, a UK special)

Also, I've got a load of tapes (somewhere in the 480s range) of soap operas from September 1999 to January 2005 (along with a few tapes with episodes ranging from 1966-1999 and a soap opera tv-movie from 1983). Nothing but soap operas. I don't care much for the quality of them, so long as they're watchable and I can hear them. Eventually I'll have to convert them all to DVD just so they last longer.

I'm going to expose myself for the chick-flick-loving-MTV-junkie I really am

Laguna Beach Season 1
Newlyweds Season 1 (honestly, picked it up since it was $12 at my local Gamestop! still haven't even watched any of it  )
Gilmore Girls Seasons 1 & 2 - am finishing season 1 tonight!!! I've actually never watched the show much but picked them up when they were $18.88 at Target (plus with two you get a $10 rebate, so they were really $13.88 a piece!!)

I don't buy seasons because I can't afford them. That's really the whole reason. If I could... I would buy:
The first five seasons of the X-Files
The rest of the Gilmore Girls
All four seasons of Felicity
Will & Grace

and probably a lot more that I can't think of right now.

Ever since we passed to 500 mark (ach, limit!), I had to divide our DVDs into categories. Therefore, all our TV Shows are placed in to this <a href="http://dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat= ... >folder</a>.
Supposedly have 67, but it doesn't look like 67 from where I'm standing (have a feeling one of Ryan's cousins borrowed a Smallville season... :x)

And I remember saying and rolling my eyes, "What's the point of getting TV Shows on DVD?" But Oh wow, it's so lovely having to watch TV Shows whenever you want! :o

The Flash: The Complete Series has both episodes which starred Mark Hamill as Jesse James/The Trickster. :)

Was The Flash any good? I vaguely remember watching it when it was originally on the air in 1990 (I was only 5). Also, Spike showed the pilot movie a couple years ago and I caught some of that, though it was rather boring (then again, I was flipping between that and a DVD so....)

I really liked this show too! Too bad a DVD release doesn't seem too likely.

I need to update my list at some point (did I ever have one?). I should look. When I'm not tired. But I just got back in. And I'm exhausted. And I'm going to pass out now.... :P
