Ooh, familiar thread!
I like to be. . . um, mysterious. One of my characters has the last name Enigami (yeah, try spelling it backwards
), which is similar to "enigma."
Adding "wing" made it feel more feminine to me even though it was a nod to one of my favorite male characters, Darkwing Duck. Besides, putting them together seemed to have a nice ring to it.
I eventually decided that enigmawing would become my internet name in general (the name was created for another forum) and this is one of the places I just went ahead and started over with a new account at.
I could extend this even further past being a user name. . . it's now the name I sign all my art with. I thought it was pretty original too, but I have run across 3 other variations of "enigmawing."
