This show must be in Broadway but with a different production than the one who is currently beeing used in Australia.
I don't think that they can afford a production like the first one. It would be very expensive but they can do a good Job. Broadway needs a classic aesthetically show now that The phantom is gone.
I also have the doll that you were talking. The box is amazing, very elegant and there is info about the show at the back of it.
Last year I also purchased a book about the spanish production and it has great quality pictures. I have to take some photos to show it to you.

That’s a good point— now that Phantom has closed, a new gothic production of BATB might hit the spot for some Broadway audiences. But like you also say, maybe the costs today would be prohibitively expensive. Most likely if/when BATB is revived on Broadway, the sets and costumes will look very different from the original production— that’s just the nature of these things.

I'm sure about that everything is going to look different from the original production and it's a pitty because it had much personality.
I only hope for a bigger budget for a Broadway versión than the one that we had on the UK tour.

Is it going to be the same production made in the UK and Australia?

Yes, but they'll probably make some adjustments for the tour.

I went to see a production of this. I know it won't match the original Broadway production but I still had fun.
Songs that were cut:
- No Matter What (reprise was kept)
- Maison Des Lunes

I am glad you got to see it, and still have fun. I wish I could have seen the very original production.

I never liked Maison des lunes so I didn't even notice about that it was cut however "No matter what" is a lovely song that shows us the good relationship between Belle and Maurice. It's a pity that they decided to remove it.
What do you think about the costumes and the scenography?

They were okay, serviceable.
There were some sets that were built like stairs and balconies for the castle, a well for the town, a tavern.
Some of the backgrounds were painted, some had animation for something like the trees.
However, seeing videos of the original production like this one:
https://youtu.be/SDOEFyx89Yg?si=n5gK7n1SPNYWWofX
It's clear that there was more effort put into the show than what they do nowadays.

The original one is sublime. I understand that this revival is for a tour but some things looked really cheap. The other one had an aesthetics that matched really well with the movie spirit.
About the costumes I have to say that I think that Ann Hould-Ward made a better job for the original production than for this one. Belle's pink gown was like a halloween costume for kids. The blue look is not recognizable and not only for the color that they used. I can't understand why they removed the ponytail and the apron, these two things are really important to recognize her in that outfit.
The Beast doesn't look good for me either. I still don't understand the braids and the make up. They also used too many embroidery and gold and it doesn't look elegant, it looks tacky.
