It's common for people in Hollywood to do that. They lie about upcoming projects all the time, in order to not ruin the surprise. It's not exclusive to Disney at all.

Willing to bet money Disney will fast-track this for November 2017. It took over two years for Buck & Lee to make the first one, and I can't imagine Disney willing to wait until 2018 to release it. Four years is a big enough gap as it is.

Yeah, you see it pretty much all the time. I don't think it's particularly embarrassing for them. It's big news for them, and most people will forget they ever denied it.

Isn't the November 2017 slot reserved for a Pixar movie? Though I suppose they have a lot of wiggle room between the dates reserved for the WDAS and Pixar films. It does seem like just the right interval though--not too long, not too short.

Why are saying this is happening when its just discussions? I am going to say this that they were just discussing and that nothing is set in stone at the time.

Nope, it has been confirmed by Disney that it's 100% happening. Go on Facebook

Then again news have blown up stuff and it turns out to be something else.

But I'm too excited to feel like crowing. I've already talked about storylines I wouldn't mind them exploring. I just hope I enjoy the sequel, although I'm not too worried.

I wish that constable-frozen could make the sequel.

If I recall correctly, in 2010, Disney swapped Wreck-It Ralph for November 2012 and moved Monsters University back to June 2013. It's not unheard of.

And depending on far Frozen 2 is in development (like storyboarding), they have more time to work out story problems and finalize animation than the first one. When Buck & Lee came on for that, it took a little less than two years for it to come out.

Although the untitled dates for March 9, 2018 and November 21, 2018 would make sense too.

It’s of-f-f-f-f-icial: “Frozen 2” is in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar®-winning filmmaking team behind “Frozen.”

More bullshit from the creatively bankrupt regime of Iger and Lasseter.

Frozen 2: Because Our Bonuses Need More Zeroes.

Never seeing this.

Well, it probably goes without saying, but I'm guessing a Frozen 3 is likely. It feels wrong to end on a two...

And 4 too! Next thing you know, they've turned it into a Disney Fairies franchise... And let's face it: it has already been part of a campy television series and everything!

I've always been for it, but after seeing the short last night, I'm even more excited now! Especially if the Snowgies are part of it!

prediction: though Buck, Lee and Vecho will be developing it(and its sure to come many sequels) the animaton will be handled by Toon Disney Studios...explaining the abrupt cancelling of the Fairies line.

With both Tinker Bell and Planes being cancelled, I thought DisneyToon was effectively going out of business? No way they give Frozen 2 to DisneyToon.

I have been thinking that lately: Is DisneyToon closing? There's nothing going on right now
