At least, I hope the blu-ray to include the 3D version =(

I'm totally confused. Could someone please answer a few questions for me?

1. Is TLM coming to theaters this year?
2. If yes, will it be in 3D?
3. Is it still being released on Bluray this year?
4. If so, will it be in 3D?

No.

We don't know for sure. Probably yes.

I have received a response from Penny:
Yes, the September 13 release has been cancelled. http://lat.ms/WXJsmS. ~Penny
Do you know whether or not a 3D bluray will still be coming?
I have not heard anything regarding a change for the in-home release plans. ~Penny
I will await Disney Studios response for a set in stone 3D blu-ray confirmation, but it looks like we still have some hope.

EDIT: I have gotten response from Disney Studio help.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding The Little Mermaid. We appreciate your interest in Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

The Little Mermaid has has a tentative release scheduled for Fall 2013. At this time, we do not have any more specific information about the tentative release.

Pretty much. Shes runs Disney Movie Rewards page, but she replies rather fast, and she is easier to deal with since she's a real person and you don't get automated responses.

So basically we still don't know whether a 3D Blu-ray will be released.

The way she said it, it sounds like were still getting a 3D blu-ray, but who knows?

I don't care for the 3D I just want an even more amazing release now they have gone and bloody scrapped it in cinemas :x

I'm glad it is confirmed as the Christmas release for this year; in the Jungle Book thread it seemed like it was that movie that was the Fall Diamond.

I would love a big 2 disc release, but tbh I don't think its going to happen. One thing I definitely want to see is The Little Matchgirl in HD, its my favorite Disney short and its the only way to view it.

Yeah, but considering they never gave us the HD version of One By One I'm not too optimistic we'll get it. We'll be lucky if they port over the SD version.

Hey, everybody! Do any of you have this image of Ariel in a higher resolution? Perhaps with a background? It's my favorite clipart of her, she looks absolutely beautiful. :D

Interesting convo I had with my friends earlier; I asked if any of them were going to see Monsters Inc when it comes out on Friday, and ALL of them said nah, have it on DVD/Blu. I then said oh, Mermaid is supposed to be coming out at the end of the year in cinemas.....and they all went nuts! All like oh my god, have to see it on the big screen, been years since I've seen it etc.

So that's the point I think.... Ariel and the Princesses are all around and in everyone's mind that way, but not her actual movie. And there is clearly a hankering for it to be seen on the big screen!

^ THIS!!!

I don't understand how they can gage how The Little Mermaid will perform based on the success (or lack thereof) of a movie that has been released TWICE on Blu-Ray already. Grrrr.

I think that only movies that are in the moratorium system should be rereleased on the cinemas. Otherwise, we stay without our Little Mermaid because of movies that can be easily reached.

Its not really HD but I found it at a higher resolution. The easiest way to find bigger pictures is to take the picture to google and drag it in the bar and search for a large version. http://brittanyhaberfield.files.wordpre ... 1_0060.jpg

Bummer. I was looking forward to this the most! It was actually one of the reasons I was looking forward to 2013 honestly. Silly, I know, but this movie gives me so much joy, and seeing it on the big screen would've been amazing!

There will at least I'm sure be some sort of special screening in LA like they just did for Peter Pan. I wish they would do those more often.
