Thank you so very VERY much Joe for the lovely gifts, good luck at CalArts and very Merry Christmas to you!

You're welcome! :)
I'm relieved you like your gifts (and that they came really quickly)! I remember a few months ago I played Sorry with my cousins for the first time. Even though it was such a simple game, we were laughing so hard when we kicked each other back to start.
Thanks a lot, and Merry Christmas!

Hard to believe there are only four more days left till the big day. I must blast Christmas music till then!

Dear Secret Cindy Lou Who,

Due to order mishaps and other misfortune, your gift was sent out later than expected. Never fear, I got it in the mail today with 2-Day Priority Shipping. It should arrive by Wednesday - Thursday. Hope you like it, and have a Merry Christmas! :santa:

Cheers,

I'm back from Walt Disney World and what better way to begin my Christmas celebration at home than to open up an exciting package from my Secret Santa: Aaron, aka disneyfella!

The "other" Aaron sent me The Happiest Millionaire and Johnny Tremain on DVD! He also sent a very nice three page note explaining why these movies mean a lot to him and his family. On top of that, he sent me some Disney rarities: The 1951 Walt Disney Christmas Show and two-part "Disneyland" special, The Horsemasters!

Thanks so much for these amazing gifts, Aaron! I can't tell you how many times I have nearly purchased THM and JT at Best Buy this year. Can you believe I have never seen either of them? They've been at the top of my Disney-to-See list for a while. The other specials weren't on that list because I didn't think I'd have much of a chance of actually seeing them anytime soon, but now I can. I can't wait to watch all of this! Thanks for making Secret Santa so great this year! MERRY CHRISTMAS! :santa:

Thanks also to Luke for sending out cards to everyone. I got a very cool card with Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim on the front. MERRY CHRISTMAS! :santa:

I received my gift today! :D (the notice arrived in my mailbox monday morning but I couldn't go to the post office before!)

I received the "Have Yourself a Goofy Little Christmas" DVD, I'm so happy, it's an amazing gift! I can't wait to watch it on the 24th! :D I also received a beautiful card and a Disney Christmas Snowglobe... I didn't have it and I collect snowglobes so it was the perfect gift for me! I already found a place for my new snowglobe, right beside my Christmas tree.

Thank you so much disneykid for these amazing gifts! I couldn't have wished for a better gift! Merry Christmas to you and your family! :santa:

...

As for my gift, I hope it will be delivered in the next two days... I paid extra shipping so that it could reach its receiver before Christmas! The lady guaranteed it would be there in time. I truly hope she was right!

Yay! I was getting so worried that it got lost.

I was also afraid you already had that snowglobe since the Disney Store had a TON of them. I know you said you collect them, and you seem to have a particular fondness for the fab five (or spectacular six) characters.

As for the Goofy DVD...God bless Amazon Marketplace (I'm not a Disney Movie Club member, either).

I'm really glad you like the gifts. Have a merry Christmas! :santa:

Disneykid is "Almost There"! Now all we need is for me to get my present and for him to get his present and the three caballeros should be set :D .

I guess I should be singing the sad reprise version of "Almost There," because my Secret Santa gift arrived today...

...and no one was home to sign for it. My parents are always home, and it figures the one time they're both out of the house is when the package arrives. I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning and will promptly post what I received and from whom.

Hey, at least you're almost there... I'm not there AT ALL!

I am hoping with all of my heart that tomorrow is the day, that a Christmas miracle happens and before the post office closes for the day the package arrives and make it a wonderful Christmas eve...

*Turns to the evening star once more

Please, please, please, please, please, PLEEEEEEEEEASE!! :_(

I am deeply saddened to inform that my present is officially late... Today was the last day for me to receive it during Christmas. I made sure I double checked in case it had arrived at the post office, but nothing...

:(

I am saddened too. That is a really lousy thing to happen, especially on your first Secret Santa. I'm sorry. Late arrivals reflect poorly on this whole thing and it's unfortunate that we have multiple question marks remaining in the final hours of delivery. Perhaps my suggested mail windows are to blame.

It might just be the perils of international shipping you know? Not counting DK who is close, at least 2/3 of the unaccounted for deliveries involve international shipping (and I can't account for Sky, but I'm preeeetty sure she lives in the US). Sometimes it can turn out well (see: me sending to Julian last year), but mostly it's just a PITA.

You are mostly at the mercy of the shipping companies involved and what mail traffic is like. Maybe what we should do is make the deadline/suggested ship date for international givers December 1st next year? I know for some countries it is quite easy to handle (ordering off local Amazons for Canada/UK), but Puerto Rico, Malta, and Dubai seem to provide a little more of a leap of faith as it were about getting things on time.

That sucks, but there's not much you can about it really.

Like I already explained, Puerto Rico does NOT count as an international shipping place. Sure, we may be "far" from the US, but its not like we are on the other side of the Earth. I've ordered stuff from Amazon, I've had friends ship things over and many other things and they don't take FOREVER to arrive due to my location.

The only real explanation here is that my Secret Santa shipped this very late, like a week before Christmas, and the present faced extremely heavy holiday traffic.

But whatever. I am upset, but not devastated. It SHOULD arrive before the year ends. I'll start to truly worry if the new year starts and still no present...
