I'm sorry if it's too small, but look at what the boy's holding.
Can't see anything. Which part of the trailer is this from?
It's from the scene of the wedding procession. The boy is holding a frog.

And though you might not see it here, these woods, on my TV, look like the ones from the opening shot of Beauty and the Beast.

Yeah, i've found it now. You're right.

I've noticed that usually when the character of Facillier appears he's accompanied by skull figures in the background.

In the scene where Naveen as a frog falls, in one frame it is shown as a male frog and the next frame as a female frog, Tiana. Perhaps it is the way this was edited for the trailer and they are two different scenes or most unlikely that they've put eyelashes by mistake on the second frame.

In the transformation of Naveen and Tiana from frogs into humans, the two frogs kiss and Tiana-frog is wearing a wedding veil!

Is this Charlotte and Big Daddy La Bouff? So does this mean Tiana is playing dress up in Charlotte's room?
Well, for one thing, that was posted already. Secondly, Tiana and Charlotte are supposed to be "friends" and that's probably the night of the ball.

Going back to the cutting a rug. My parents, and one of my Mom's friends saw the trailer and they all laughed at that part, it wasn't a huge makes-your-sides-hurt-and-tears-appear type of laugh, but a laugh none the less. I think it just depends on the person watching for whether or not it's funny. It may not be the most amazing or hilarous thing ever, at least not on the same level as a certain lace collar ;)

More like 'frenemies' if you ask me :P From what i understand they were childhood friends and Tiana's mother used to read them stories but when Charlotte grew up she become spoiled and snobish.

Look at the bottom of the frame... you can see that both frogs are falling.

You're right. I didn't notice that.

ajmrowland, I thought that about that forest, too! I was like..Beauty and the Beast?!

HEY can everyone like...stop revealing everything that will be in the movie by analyzing every seen to find out every surprise? I just analyzed that one frog scene we had seen before for the animation.

Or people who want to stay unspoiled will just have to stay outta here...?

Julian, maybe I'm wrong about the animation, it just looks bad to me. The whole thing looks a little less good than what Treasure Planet had been. It looks...stiffer! Like there's less frames, fluidity...it looks less! Now, I know that they are just starting out, and on a low budget...but Snow White was just starting out, and Cinderella again, with a low budget. And they were suberbly animated, some of the best in all of Disney.

I did notice they were doing a lot of animating on the twos, too much I think for an animated feature doen by Disney! But more importantly, when Naveen dances, I caught a few ones, but really there needed to be more. But basically he looked so stiff, not flowy.

I really feel Enchanted was more flowy than anything in TPatF trailer, for comparison.

enigmawing, thank you, but I wish they would differentiate between rotoscoping and live-action reference. A lot of unknowing people will think wrong of Disney, maybe even not buy those referenced films or want to watch them anymore.

gumby, we have heard from Disney that Tiana will be a waitress! Some of us (me included) were mad, as it was less common for someone black to do that back then, and before Disney had her as a maid which was more historically usual.

No, not your bad, you were first to make us realize she must be in their room! Unless she just has pictures of them in her own room...!

Well, it doesn't really matter, anyway. I personally, would've tried to play catch-up a little bit if I haven't been in a topic for a while.

Oh you guys are all so fun with all this pulling apart of the trailer! I had so much fun 'oohing and ahhing' at your findings.

I really hope Tiana does not spend more time on screen as a frog than human. I mean, for a first black princess but for her to be frog form the whole time...it wouldn't be the same!

I was thinking the same thing, kinda how Ariel is more mute in the film. I love love love TLM, but I wish Ariel would have gotten to sing more. I guess, I would have loved for her to sing at the end, while coming to Eric. Singing the Part of Your World/Happy Ending, I love that alternate part alone.

Wow that trailer looks simply amazing. I can't wait for this film.
It feels good to see 2-D back in action.

Now all we have to do is wait.

I love some of the backgrounds, like the flowers in the transformation scene.
Or the woods in others scenes.

Now THAT is what I call painterly.

That actually looks more like the Rapunzel swing painting than any of the other Rapunzel footage we've seen so far.

Take a look at these. This is the look I love, and I don't think a CGI 3d film, with 3d characters can ever look this painterly because of the plasticky, semi-realistic, static, rubberish effect those films have.
I think 2d animated films are the way to go if you want painterly.

I know that first pic is made by computer too, and I have nothing against that, I just think the look is painterly instead of cgi. Because a cgi character like Bolt, (or the Rapunzel designs we've seen so far for that matter) wouldn't fit with the flowers in the above pic at all for example.
This picture works so well, because she actually looks hand drawn, painted. That's why the characters and backgrounds compliment eachother so well.

Look at the flowers. I'm really happy with this.

Mike, I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do? I don't see any positivity coming from you with this movie at all...

The animation is wonderful...it truly is a great effort on Disney's part, and I'm not sure what frames are missing and what have you. I love the animation in treasure planet too, and I think this looks fantastic as well.

Let’s see the film first before we make more negative comments!
