What I would like to know is if there's a trailer of TLM 2 special edition on it.
And what it's like. Sorta stuff.

About the Scuttle thing; it could be a reference to Ursula/Morgana.
In The Little Mermaid Scuttle attacks Ursula (Vanessa) by pulling on her hair.
In The Little Mermaid II he attacks Morgana by pulling on her hair.
In The Little Mermaid III he is approching the head of Marina and she says quickly 'Don't touch Me'

So, I think it's a reference.

I liked the Flounder reference with the boatscene in the original movie.

Enjoy!
Just watched it, and left a comment. Like I said, I hate Flounder (he is SO irritating), but I do love Jodi's harmonics, very pretty, IMO. Thanks for sharing! :)

If I remember correctly, they are, it's just that nobody's caught it yet.

First of all, thanks for capping the menus, the main one is my favorite, but all of them are much better than I thought. Secondly, you could always buy it.

I've already watched whole the movie - is better than second Mermaid, but of course - isn't as good as orginal was. In my opinion the best part is devoloping Ariel's sisters personalities and background of Athena's death.
As most of you I wanted another plot, with Ursula and history of her exile... Now I think that storyline used in this production isn't bad. I don't be wrong if I said that they produced this film for very young girls and then, for all Ariel's fans. For us - as fans - they added story of Triton and Athena, maybe few scenes with sisters, but what's more? There still are question without answer even if the movie is supposed to be the last part of Ariel's story.

And one more thing - after watching it I understood why Ariel wants to be human (or simply lives on the ground) - if they were brought up by Triton like soldiers in army, I also would say "No, thanks. This place couldn't be called home"

I live in Poland and here still is unknown the date of relase this movie. On official website is still advert of special edition of TLM (but one disk) from 2005. Sigh.. T.T
EDIT: Oh, they put the advert, yay! It will be relased on 23.09. Polish title "DzieciƄstwo Ariel" means "Ariel's childhood".
And sorry for my English. I'm still learning T.T

So um...I just watched about half of this movie on youtube...and uh, it's not that bad, but from what I've seen so far, I don't think I'm going to enjoy it that much. The most enjoyable scenes I've seen so far are with Ariel's sisters. I'm still waiting to see the entire thing to give my full thoughts. But again, the only real connection we get to the first movie is why Triton hates humans and why mer-people aren't allowed to go to the surface.

Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't posted so long!
My computer has a virus, so all my files are lost (including TLM3  )
I was kinda busy with that, but I still wanted to comment.

And to respond on Vermin Friends:
Secondly, you could always buy it.
I just wanted to say that I downloaded the movie, because the movie is coming a month later here in the netherlands.
I have to wait longer.

I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Ariel'sprince who was complaining that the download he got had the entire DVD, but didn't include the bonus features, and that he wanted them so bad. If he really wants it, he should buy it, even if he has to wait longer.

ILLEGALY DOWNLOADING IS A FEDERAL CRIME!! :!: Just let you guys know you could get in big trouble......
This forum could get in trouble for talking about it aswell.
It could be seen as this site supports illegal D/L and does it as well!
Your really are not supporting TLM or disney you are hurting them.

*nods* Especially about getting UD in trouble. I love this board, and if it gets in trouble because of a bunch of idiots who can't wait a few more days...

Ditto. Even if you download the movie you shouldn't blab about it on a public forum. After all, Disney COULD be reading these threads, and they ARE strict regarding piracy.

According to the Jim Hill review Disney kept a very watchful eye on the attendees at the Comic con premiere.

If they did that for the premiere whose to say they won't go hard on UD?

True. And we do have a BVHE rep who visits & answers questions here occasionally. Most forums like HTF have explicit rules about NOT discussing any illegal activites such as downloading, copying etc...

Well I haven't downloaded anything...I just sorta cheated and went to youtube...so the people who uploaded the videos are the trouble makers :P

Even if I already did see it, I'd still buy it anyways. Since I'm a fan of TLM and would be bothered knowing that I have The first and not the prequel and sequel.

UD cannot get in trouble. In the US law, it states that an owner of a website such as this cannot get in trouble for what others say. But those who said they are downloading it CAN get in trouble. But Luke has little to worry about. He is protected by US law. And I assume he is in the USA, so he is within jurisdiction.

Now with that said, if I was excited as others are, I MIGHT download it, but then buy it anyways. Truth be known, I have downloaded movies that were not yet on DVD. And actually all the ones I downloaded, I saw in the theaters and a couple of months later, the movie was out of theaters, I am dying to see it again, so I download it. And then when it comes to DVD, I chuck the copy and buy the real deal. I'm impatient, but I do love my DVD extras.

I watched the featurette explaining the story more and that made it look more promising. So this movie ends right before Triton's daughters big performance. I assumed it happened a year before the events of the main movie. So that does explain a bit more why Ursula was not in this movie. Because I figured Ursula was banished when Ariel was still very very young. So I guess Ursula was banished right before this prequel. Which is unfortunate she was not in the movie, but it makes more sense why not. If they had her in this one, Ariel would less likely trust her in the main movie. But I still wish Marina was more a villain and less comedy relief.

Same here- I used to do it with TV shows when my computer could handle it, and of course I bought it all on DVD as soon as it came out. I also downloaded Enchanted and its soundtrack because I couldn't wait until Christmas and April 18th- but I did buy them both. I don't consider it bad if I'm buying it later. However- I know at least one person here isn't going to buy it, and that- I consider illegal.

Like I said in the 2nd thread, I think Ursula was banished long before Ariel's time. If you really think chronologically and listen to her dialog, she talks about life in the palace before Ariel (possibly even Triton). With that said, I'm a little happy she wasn't in TLM3, since it would be canonically incorrect... though I am really disappointed that she wasn't even mentioned.

I agree with Siren.

Although her chemistry with Benjamin was just absolutely precious.

And here's more of a Timeline Mind Screw: HOW DO THEY KNOW WHAT A CHASSIS IS?!?

Maybe Marina time-travels. :D
