OMG! I love how the "Lion", "King", and "3" are in huge letters whilst "and the" is practically invisible! And I could totally see somebody buying that, only glancing at the cover, and confusing the lion with Simba or maybe Mufasa.

The lion in the picture looks like a (pardon my French) stupid drunk.

And what does "Lion and the King" mean anyway? Shoudn't it be "The Lion and the King"? Also, judging by the cover, both the "king" and the "lion" seem to be the same 'person" making the title even less logical. :P

Despite the blatant title rip-off-the game, judging by picture, seem to be based on the lion and the mouse story where proud lion gets caught in the net and the mouse save him by nimbling the net away- freeing the lion.

I don't know if this was posted...

DEAR...

LORD...

There are cheap knock offs... and then there's THIS!
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JIhE7e5-YOI&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JIhE7e5-YOI&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

IT'S A SHOT BY SHOT CG REMAKE OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!

How worse can you get than this?

EDIT:...IT CAN!

They remade Snow White too!

Seriously, these things can't be free to make - do they really fool enough consumers to earn back the production costs and turn a profit?

^ ...wow... Those are the most blatant Disney movie ripoffs I have ever seen.

BatB: I just love/hate the Beast's Simba-hair and horns.
SW: Besides the creepy dwarfs I kinda like the Snow White one.

I'm wondering, is there a way to report these to Disney?

Pretty sure Disney knows, and makes enough money anyways not to care.

Is it me, or did they even use the same backgrounds?

Also from GM Toons, the answer to any prayers about a Pooh/Indiana Jones merger:

remember Eisner's idea back then? About shot for shot CG remakes of the Disney classics?

tadaaaa.... here they are.

And it does look like they used the backgrounds. Except during the ballroom scene. Which is hilarious... the way the Beast is jumping up and down while dancing? My guess is it was animated by a bunch of poor unfortunate souls who have no idea what they're making.

sad. and funny.

oh and another thing: GM Toons? Is this a new division of General Motors?

Wow, it really felt like the animators had a copy of the film playing right beside them. I find it hilarious that they even have their own version of the blue castle logo.

Wow... that was probably the most blatant plagiarism I have ever seen in my life.
Although, does that one title card seriously say "Bearie and the Poo Cheetah Village?" What does that even mean? And what's up with the sheep? So, that one is still a fail, but it isn't totally plagiarism....

yeah that's what it says. It probably means that an Indiana Jones/Winnie the Pooh crossover would be just that: Bearie and the POO Cheeta Village.

it's just insane.

Genetically modified toons?

To be quite honest, when I first saw those clips, I thought that they might be test exercises for animation students (like how some animation students have to make short films or skits featuring established characters). Having said that, I think that most student films are probably of a higher quality than that.

Poor unfortunate souls!
In pain, in need
This one longing to have talent
This one wants to get the job
Do I help them? Yes indeed.

Those poor unfortunate souls!
So sad, so true
They come flocking to my studio
crying, hire me GM Toons please
And do I hire them? Yes I do.

Ok, so I really wouldn't call this a rip-off, but every time I see this slot machine I wonder if Jade Monkey is a dark-haired sister Jessica Rabbit never talks about. :p
