Today I picked up Walt Disney Treasures: Elfego and the Swamp Fox for 20% off at Music World. They overcharge everything five to ten dollars anyway so I guess it was just like buying it at Wal-Mart without the discount.

Picked up True-Life Adventures, Volume 2. Is this series a limited edition sort of thing or is it always going to be available?

This one just arrived for some mind-bending fun:
INLAND EMPIRE
David Lynch's latest. Saw it at the Sydney Film Festival back in June, and it was a physically exhausting ordeal. So much so that I want to see it again, and soon. At 3 hours, it is an endurance test, but it is also a rewarding one.
The 2-Disk (the box's spelling, not mine) set boasts 210 minutes worth of bonus features, and there is no commentary. Regular Lynch DVD buyers will know that this is a not a regular occurrence from the director, who usually chooses to let the film speak for itself. However, in this case we have additional works, including many deleted scenes (reportedly another 70-odd minutes to the 3-hour running time).
I'm clearing my weekend schedule now!
New DVD Thread XI - The Return.

I guess the last thread has been closed for a while, and nobody started a new one. So, I've decided to start it!
Today, at Best Buy, I picked up:
Roseanne: The Complete Third Season
and
Roseanne: The Complete Sixth Season
Best Buy has all of the season sets of
Roseanne for $14.99 each, this week.
Last week, I picked up Season 8 and Season 4 (Buy Season 8 for $24.99, get any other season for free).
I am now caught up on all of the
Roseanne season sets! Just the final season to go!
Last week, I also picked up season 5,6, and 7 of
Full House, at Best Buy. Season 5 and 6 I got for $17.99 each, using the Circuit City ad to price match, and I got Season 7 for $21.99 using the Circuit City ad to price match. I am now caught up on all the
Full House season sets! Just the final season to go! Plus, I earned Reward Zone points, and I also earned a $10.00 Summer of Entertainment Certificate!

It's still open, it was just moved to Polls and Games. No idea why though.

Oh, no wonder I couldn't find it! I didn't even think to look there. I think it should be moved back here.
Could a mod please move that thread back to Off-Topic, and merge my post with it? I think most people will agree that it should be kept in Off-Topic.

We decided to move this and a few other similar threads to Off-Topic to help with the problem of Off-Topic being top-loaded with non-discussion threads. "New DVD Thread" and the like are great but most of them don't lead to much discussion. Those threads that often have conversation in addition to (as another member put it) "show and tell" were left in Off-Topic. Hopefully, the result is that forum members don't have to wade or scroll through 10 quick-post, discussion-free threads each time they log into Off-Topic, something that a handful of forum members pointed out as frustrating in Feedback. This isn't meant as a condemnation of this thread in any way (and MM1, no worries about not finding it in P&G before starting a new one in O-T). If after a while, if it seems like this was working better in Off-Topic, maybe it can be moved back. I personally think it's worked well so far and may even be responsible, in part, to an increase in fun (i.e. not lame) activity in Polls & Games.
