Those are listed on the single disc release too though. They're not off the bonus disc. There's no indication what is on the bonus disc.
The Tokoyo Drift listing lists it's Bonus Disc's contents (it has a seperate listing):

I've now sent the petition off to several sources at Disney, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, and Pixar. Last I checked, the petition had 528 signatures. That's a lot of consumers who are upset about this issue, however, I doubt it's enough to sway Disney's decision. I would love for there to have been more signatures, but, it just didn't happen, leaving me to realize that most people don't really care if they get a single-disc edition, or a two-disc edition. I thank each and every one of you who signed, and tried to make a difference.
I'm holding up my end of the bargain. Until Disney gives Cars the proper treatment on DVD, I won't buy. It won't make a bit of difference to Disney, but, it does to me.

I dunno MadonnasManOne, that is a heck of a lot of people! It will show Disney there's a growing awareness amongst Disney consumers of this issue. Congrats on getting that many signatures, and on your organization and follow-through.
I think in general whatever they've planned for this release is already in the bag, but it could have some influence on future releases. Let us know if you get any response.

Though from another angle Disney might think this is more reason for double dipping editions. Though hopefully not, so I hope it makes a difference.

They wouldn't really look at it as only 528 signatures also, Most marketing people have a formula for these types of things. They know most people don't participate in surveys, petitions, etc... but they have similar opinions to those that do. So what they do is take some sort of formula that for every person who votes one way or the other they are actually representative of a say, a hundred people, or 500 people, etc.. So your 528 would actually represent many more people (from a marketer's point of view).
The formula probably varies from one marketing dept to another so you can't really tell what, if anything, Disney will make of it.

For those of you who are planning to buying the 1-disc release, I just got an email from Amazon that there's been a price reduction which will be applied to my order! It's only an 11 cents difference.
OLD PRICE was $15.98 and now the new price is $15.87.

Sound: Dolby® Digital 5.1 EX Surround Sound
Dolby® Digital 2.0 Surround Sound. THX Certified
How come Cars is THX Certified while recently released Disney movies weren't, or am I missing something?

The animated classics are probably not THX ceritifed anymore because Disney's deal with them expired or something. However, Pixar was once a division of Lucasfilm, which also owns THX, and there's a lot of crossing paths there. The sound designer is the same on the Pixar films as on the Star Wars ones, I think. So those ties probably have something to do with it.

Makes me wonder if we are going to get the made-for-"Cars" THX intro to the movie. I loved this one. Don't know how many of you saw this movie in a THX certified theater where they showed this new intro, but I hope that they have it on the front of "Cars".

Look at what I found at the Disney Store:

Alas, my car is black so it won't look as good as if it were red. Also, my mom said my Cars dice would fade in the sun, so I'm betting that will too!

Will the DVD have the video to life is a high way?

Press release and Amazon don't mention it, but UD's Upcoming Releases page mentions a DCCOS music video for "Route 66". Ugh.
I'd rather have the Rascal Flatts music video ofr "Life is a Highway" over DCCOS.
Then again, I'd rather have the 2-disc edition that R4 is getting too.

I'd much rather have the "Life is a Highway" Music video than DCOS stars singing something.
At least they're not singing "Our Town".
DCCOS's Route 66...

Okay, don't stone me, but I like most of the music videos Disney puts on their DVDs. I'm curious about this one. I liked their version of "A Dream Is A Wish," but could've done without "Circle of Life."
Does anyone have information on this? Who will be featured in the "circle"?
Has anyone heard it yet?
And do you guys think this song and Ashley's "Kiss The Girl" garauntees us a DisneyMania 5?

Don't forget Jonas Brothers' "Poor Unforunate Souls!" It's amazing but I wish they'll do more for Disneymania instead of just one b/c they're AWESOME. They should just make a whole Disney cover CD with just them.
I really want to know more about this too. I don't think "Route 66" was in the press release though. I don't think its necessary since John Mayer already covered it for the movie.
