Just now: The Ultimate Avengers...

If there are superheroes that shouldn't work together are those guys. Man, they were more archenemies than anything else.
Plus the movie didn't help to make these characters look better.
And the animation was weird. I mean, it was kind of nice but at the same time the use of computers made it all look plastic.
For fans only.
Justice League is SO much better.

The problem with Ultimate Avengers wasn't the conflict between the characters. The problem was, it didn't go far enough. It didn't know what it was supposed to be. They would have been better off doing a "normal" Avengers movie, because even though this movie adapted the first Ultimate Avengers comic arc, it self-censored everything that made the Ultimates that different from the "normal" characters. All the adult themes are either dropped or watered down (for example, in the comics Giant Man is seen physically abusing The Wasp - a side to the character that was hinted at in the "normal" comics in the 70's, but the rating of The Ultimates gave the creators opportunity to show it).

For the same reason ALL Broadway shows avoid a DVD release: it would mark the end of the show. With a video release, there would be no incentive to pay eighty bucks to watch it on the stage. Only shows that are on their last leg (Cats) release video recordings.Disneykid wrote:I doubt they were shot exclusively for it, so why not put the whole show on DVD?

It took me really a while to finally get to rent this movie. I had read so many great things about the movie, than in the end it wasn't what I expected.
I was expecting a very scary movie. The movie ended up being too long, with no real tension and the ending wasn't worth it.

Right now, Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.
The only Scooby movie I have and want.
I have it and like it because it is the first straight to VHS movie they made of Scooby with the new animation, AND it is the first time the ghosts on the series are real.

The last three movies I have watched were all Star Wars.

Finished watching X2: X-Men United with Jane and Kram.
A couple nights ago we watched The Family Stone, it was pretty good and you can't exactly go wrong with Rachel McAdams...

The Rachel Factor immediately cancels out any humiliation at watching a chick-flick-branded movie. But with The Family Stone, it should really be watched with the company of close friends and family. Though, of course, watching it by yourself does give you the benefit of skipping anything that's Rachel-less. Righ now, Quest for Camelot.
Not precisely a good movie. Actually, it is VERY average. However, I bought it at Walmart for around $5, and remember it was ok.
For that price is worth it.
I'm just watching it since after watching SDoZI needed something similar (with the "adventure feeling")

The Da Vinci Code (very mild spoilers... more just my impressions really... ahead)
Like the book, extremely manipulative and irresponsible/downright deceitful in its presentation of "facts." Like the book, transparent in its shortcomings (though I don't think it's all about persuasion as some have charged). Like the book, a riveting story, albeit one that relies on cheap plot twists and a rapid pace to produce suspense and pre-existing (yet fascinating) theories to produce mystique. Unlike the book, it's more focused on attempts to appease the Christian (and specifically Catholic) audience that it is simultaneously challenging and attempting to appeal to. I didn't find many of the criticisms leveled by critics (poor acting, boring delivery, etc.) to be true, though I thought it was too rushed on more than a few occasions, but that's also to be expected. In all, it's definitely a recommended viewing on several counts, though I would urge everyone to remember that it's a work of fiction and that any conspiracy theory can seem persuading when presented at break-neck speed with little regard for verification or a fair debate.

I watched Rumor Has It which I really enjoyed. I love Jennifer Aniston and I thought she did a good job. I also liked the movie the Graduate so it was fun to watch this.

She is so hot!!!!!!!!! And Gerard Butler, who I think does an amazing job of being The Phantom. Emmy is so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
