Thank you, Finchx0rz for letting me know about "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in The Lion King.
GoofyStitch, I was thinking of "Stand By Me", so thank you very much for that! But Super Aurora was right in "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" being in the Timon and Pumbaa television show, I've seen it.
Super Aurora, I couldn't find the episode on YouTube, but I did find out that it was episode 14 with the two adventures "Brazil Nuts" and "South Seas Sick" that had "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" after it.

Actually, some episodes are out on VHS, but not those episodes or "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" segment. I think they should release the whole show to DVD!

If the brief clip on TLM PE is any indication of the quality of TLM 3, then I will not be picking it up. No matter what, I won't pick it up before reading the UD review.

Well, I'm really looking forward to TLM III---------as i love anything to do with Ariel!! From the official trailer, it looks AMAZING!! Kinda scary, mysterious, actin packed, and haunting. wonderful, really. then the musical sneak peak was loads of fun! she doesnt seem 'high' or in love with Sebastian. my guessing is that -----
a) music has been banned in atlantica for some reason, and sebastian has snuck off to perform at a club kinda thing, and Ariel thinks "Sebastian??!!?!?! Rule-breaking??" And he is still very good at carrying a tune!
or
b) music has been erased from atlantica somehow? ariel cant remeber what it is?? Because of the locket that falls into the water?
I have no clue, but I love it!!
ps-----do you think that the locket that Melody had was Ariel's first??

I know it's not but so all films could take place in 1 ''world'' maybe the ship that sinks in the beginning is the same ship from the beginning of Tarzan

And then Tarzan's GORGEOUS mother- she's SO DAMN pbeautiful!!!-could be turned into a mermaid by Triton who fell in love with her! Alice Greystocke is Ariel's mother!!

Ariel and Tarzan are siblings!!!
p.s. they actually are siblings. along with the Prince from BatB AND Pocahontas, because they all have Glen Keane as a father. Glen rocks!!

Mabey Morgana or Ursula( PLEASE LET IT BE URSULA) has come back and taken over the kingdom somehow? Now Ariel is helping her father who has gone in depression (thinking about his dead wife all the time flashign back and realising he has become to old to fight. even though he is suppose to be a demi god/immortal) So M or U has banned all music from Atlantica and has banished all mermaids from atlantica. So underground Music clubs got formed whom play banished music and there she finds Sebastian.... Argh I donno that sneap peack on the DVD dont make sence! First flouder says "we got to get back what is Sebastian..." And then a bit after Ariel swims towards sebastian he tries to stop her, even though Sebastian is there. So Sebastian is not suppose to know they are there, and Ariel knows this and still she swims towards him, its so confusing...
Well...you're right, it doesn't make sense.

I think that Ariel and Flounder were not supposed to be wandering off, and Sebastian was looking for them, so Flounder was worried that Sebastian would find them. But then it turns out Sebastian has no time for that and has to perform...
OR they follow Sebastian to the nightclub, and he doesn't want them there. So, Flounder is worried because he thinks Sebastian will see them there. But the reason Sebastian doesn't want them there is because he performs there, and when Ariel discovers his secret she wants to let him know that it's cool that he performs.

Is it trendy to hate sequels? Just a question!!! Is it kind of revolutionary or anti-neoliberism? Let them make the movies and you decide whether you buy them or not!! It is simple economics, if the people don't buy the sequels they'll stop making them.

Not at all. "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" is the most successful Disney film in history. "Toy Story 2" did better at the box office than "Toy Story." However, those sequels remained true to their original films, had a good solid story, and were wonderful films on their own merits. The problem alot of people have with Disney's direct to video animated sequels is that in most (or all) cases, they are not made by anybody who worked on the original film and are not what the original creators would have wanted. For example, I doubt Walt would have approved of "Bambi 2." That's not to say "Bambi 2" is bad, but it just didn't need to be made and was very slow paced. If that subplot had been part of the original film, it probably would have taken 5-10 minutes of screen time. They stretched it to 70 minutes. Another reason many Disney fans don't like the sequels is because the quality of animation can be so poor in some cases and they can also ruin the original film if you watch them back to back. My great example of that would be "Pocahontas 2." The animation was really cheap and nowhere near as fulid as the original. The music wasn't very good except for the song "Where Do I Go From Here." And why doesn't Pocahontas end up with John Smith? I know the creators were going for historical accuracy, but they weren't historically accurate with the first film and I think everyone wanted to see them end up with eachother. I would just assume leave it at the heart breaking finale of the first film with them seperating for what was supposed to be forever instead of having Pocahontas go to England and meet up with him, but marry someone else.
It is simple economics, if the poeple don't buy the sequels they'll stop making them.
Well, that's hard to do when you buy 50 copies of each movie.

Just kidding. The sales for this films is really a mixed bag and depends on the popularity of the first film. I predict that "The Little Mermaid 3" and "Cinderella 3" will sell like hot cakes, wheras I think "The Fox and the Hound 2" will undersell Disney's estimates.

Yes that would be good, but Ursula dies in the original TLM.

wasnt there talk about king triton and ursula being, like, twins?

hello, ursula is an
octopus! how can she be blood related to a merman?

maybe im having a brain fart here or something but did she actually DIE? i mean... i guess that can be assumed, but she COULD still be alive, couldn't she? i dont know.
i think they should have a movie about flotsam and jetsam. they are my favorite characters in the movie... does anyone know which one is which? i know that they are seperate because the yellow eye is different on each of them but does anyone know who is who? just a random question.
heres to love of the poopsies!

well, I really loved TLM II, and thought it was wicked. BUT I did think at the time, and still think now, that Ariel should not have been the princess to have a child. I don't think it was needed really, you know? She was so young herself in the first film, and shes kind of a young spirit, isnt she? Going on the sequels Disney have made, I think it should have been Cinderella to have a child in "Dreams Come True", as that is what her father-in-law wanted, and she seemed older.
hmmmmmmmmmm thats just what i think anyway. I'm not a sequel basher, I love them, thats just my view on the plotline of TLMII. If TLMIII is actually gonna be about Ariel's mother and so on as we think, maybe that should have been the second film, not "Return To The Sea".

I was thinking, what if Ursula and Triton's parents were an octopus and a merperson?
Jasmine1022 wrote:i think they should have a movie about flotsam and jetsam.
Yes, doesn't anyone wonder who Flotsam and Jetsam are? There are
many questions about them. Are they brothers? Where did they come from? How did they become Ursula's lackeys? Did Ursula promise them power? I'd like to see some information on them, and their mysterious powers to show Ursula everything they see!

You know, that makes a lot of sense. Wouldn't it be hilarious to see the King's attempts at making them...procreate? Another "Kiss the Girl"? Haha!

I have a horrible feeling I'm not going to like this movie.
Which is upsetting because TLM was one of my favorite Disney Classics.

Well, I have some news regarding TLM III.
Really, really, really GREAT news as well!
Wanna know what it is ?????
------------------------------
Well, it is deffinatly a PREQUAL. No doubt about it, as Tara Strong (who played Melody in TLMII), said on her official myspace that 'Mermaid 3' was a prequal, and Melody WILL NOT be in it. But Tara will be back doing voice work for some of Ariel's sisters.
Here is the link:
http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... 002885732f
What do you guys think about that then?? Our suspicions were correct, it will be a prequal! And I guess that means the title "Ariel's Melody" will not be used.
And here is a mock up of the cover art for the DVD that a fan made:

Hope you liked the info! Coz I did!
