I know I said to expect the review by the end of the weekend, but it took me a while to give the DVD its due. Anyway, <b><i>The Even Stevens Movie</b></i> review is now up here:
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/evenstevensmovie.html
To answer your last question, James, <i>The Pacifier</i>'s screencaps look "flatter" because it was shot for and presented in the 2.35:1 (actually 2.39:1) aspect ratio. Just like <i>The Incredibles</i> and <i>National Treasure</i>.

Nice review. I'm surprised they put an audio commentary on it. I wish Shia and Romano were recorded together, though. It sounds funny, but with them together, it would have been funnier.

Do I detect sarcasm, MMP?
Myself, I thought the review was simply divine!

Once again a top notch review, and I thought that the images in The Pacifier review were because of the aspect ratio! I really want Even Stevens on DVD, though. Its great!

Wow, awesome review for "Under the Umbrella Tree," Luke! Reading through it and looking at those screencaps brought back a flood of memories. I would like to buy it for nostalgia's sake, but five episodes for 20 bucks is a bit much, especially since there were so many episodes produced. I'll wait a while and see if this independent retailer releases season sets. I'm very anxious to revisit this show again.

Interesting review. It brought back some memories. I mean, I remember the show but I was never really a big fan when I was a kid but I did enjoy it from time to time.

Just thought I would post in here and tell everybody that I have just completed the <b>Spirited Away</b> review and sent it into Luke; my guess is that it will be up within the next few days, though we need screencaps! I also anticipate starting to work on <b>Kiki's Delivery Service</b> later this week, probably tomorrow.

Well, I'm glad we're finally getting to some of the reviews that were missed. I can't wait for the review. I'm also looking forward to many of the reviews that haven't been made yet.

Great review of Spirited Away, Jake. I just finished it. It was kind of pointless to read it since I already have the DVD though.

No way! This was the review I was most looking forward to (now that DL has been scrapped), because it's the one we knew least what to expect from.
Great review, Luke! The background is perfect. All those pictures were really a trip down memory lane.
It's disappointing that what's included is so limited, and the biggest disappointment is definitely that none of the episodes include any portion of <i>Emerald Cove</i>.

Hopefully that serial is released in its entirety, and hopefully we'll get more MMC releases... maybe a Britney, Justin, & Christian vol. 2, or a Kerri and JC (but who are we kidding, they aren't nearly as high profile), or maybe just a plain ole "Best of the MMC", which would probably be our best bet. Can't wait to get this one, purely for nostalgia's sake!

Thanks Luke! I was hoping you would do a review of this dvd. It is disappointing that there are only 4 episodes to this set but at least its something. I remember watching this show fondly with my brother and dad back in the day. Though I never got to see past the 6th season because that was when my dad decided we were too old to watch the Disney channel and stopped our subscription ( we had to pay to get the channel back then. Boy am I thankful my cable company changed it so we got it with the normal package of cable channels!) so I excited to even just have a few episodes from one of the seasons that I missed out on watching. I'm definitly picking this up. And here's to hoping they make even more 'best of MMC' style dvds in the future!
