At 9:30pm, I finished "My Neighbor Totoro". I think its my first time seeing it. Although it seems to me that that film was from FOX and I think I will buy the Disney version on March. So, I can't tell the difference about the English dub.
The film itself was full of magic. The acorn planting scene was enormous filled with a huge tree in the front of the house. Good film, anyways.
At 10:45, I'm currently watched "Porco Rosso".
Man, this film was almost excellent as Nausicaa, but filled with a little bit of humor in every way.
(Note: I don't know if this posted in this topic. If you think its a wrong place to be here, then I'll make corrections and put it in the Disney movie thread. I know Studio Ghibli was disney, but I just can't seem to put it.)

Watched the following movies in the Home Theater the past couple of evenings:
The Pink Panther - the first in the series of Peter Sellers films. One of the funniest of the bunch and Sellers was still working on his Clouseau voice so you can here how it used to sound before the later pictures.
A Shot in the Dark - The sequel to "Pink Panther" with a lucsious Elke Sommer providing the female charms to keep Clouseau from his appointed duties. The scenes in the nudist colony are the funniest ever.
Return of the Pink Panther - Third in the series of the 'Panther' films, and probably the one that most people remember the one-liners most from. This was one of the funniest in the series.
The Pink Panther Strikes Again - probably the weakest of the series. All the comedy seemed forced, and the storyline was very poor.
Revenge of the Pink Panther - Blake Edwards' seemed to have found the magic again as he guided Peter Sellers through this hilarious romp, and the things that happen to Herbert Lom are just hilarious. What a way to end the series.
Trail of the Pink Panther - After the death of Peter Sellers, this attempt to cash in on all the outtakes and edited scenes from the 'Panther' series, fell flat on its preverbial face. Supposedly Clouseau is missing and they use reminisces of what was to try to locate the missing inspector. By far the worst film in the series.

I watched
A.I. on Friday.
I didn't expect too much from this movie, I bought it for £5 when it was recommended to me by a friend. I finally decided to pop it into my DVD player and to judge it for myself.
Woah, the special effects were amazing, but they seemed to really fit in with the movie so they didn't grab your attention too much. The movie, as well as being pretty exciting, was also very sad (imo) near the end....poor guy

.
I could waffle on all day, but I won't. Overall, i'm glad I have this in my collection, and i'm sure i'll see it again in the not so distant future!

I watced
Star Trek: The Search For Spock it's a good movie. It has Christopher Lloyd in it. However, Rath of Kahn is still the best one.

Indeed, A.I. is a phenomenal movie. Its DVD price makes one realize that some truly great movies are occasionally really cheap. It has an astounding array of special features as well.
Last non-Disney movie I saw was
End of the Spear, which was unusually good. Typically, Christian films are low budget, corny, and riddled with amateur, uninspired, non-artistic preaching. This film was different and I recommend it.

In school, our Reading class were watching "Of Mice and Men" (1992)
We didn't watched all of it just because of a block schedule. Unfortunately, we couldn't watch the entire film because my teacher didn't liked it. In my opinion, I think its good! The reactions of the characters, the soundtracks, are all good. Plus, the film follows through the book pretty well.
Sounds like I need to rent that DVD again to watch the entire film (hopefully, by the weekend). If my teacher changes her mind, I can watch the entire film without renting it from Blockbuster.

Freddy vs Jason : LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!
I've lost count of how many times I've seen it.
PS
However, I hate the ending. They should have used one of the ones they originally thought of: Freddy and Jason fighting in hell and then comes Pinhead and separates them.

Really? That's totally cool.
Just finished of watching "Of Mice and Men" in Reading Class (Hooray! My teacher changed her mind!

). Some of the scenes were intensive! I've never seen Lennie busted Curley's hand so hard and blood just came out!
As for the rest of the film, it turned out to be excellent!
I can't wait to watch "Only Yesterday" (Japanese version only) and "Pom Poko" on Turner Classic Movies. So, be prepared for an update!

Contrary to what another person has said, I watched the best of all the Star Trek movies -
Star Trek IV The Voyage Home. With the time travel aspect of this movie it is one that never fails to satisfy, no matter how many times I watch it. The humor is great, and the action is non-stop. I really think they could have quit with this one and everyone would have been happy.

Just finished watching "Only Yesterday" about an hour ago. It's a good film that's kinda similiar to "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse", but it's more likely a film about a woman's memories as a child. The menstruation conversation in elementery school just came out of nowhere. As I, being a woman, I felt the same thing when my menstration began and its a huge pain in the butt.
Currently watched, "Pom Poko". Although, its not one of Isao Takahata's greatest films, but yet a good film about raccoons who saved the forest from the suburbian creation. It kinda reminds me of "Ferngully: The Last Rainforest", but Pom Poko has raccoons instead of fairies. Very good film for the entire family.

Spoilers ahead for those who haven't at least seen the ending of this, but I suspect most people have...
Bonnie & Clyde - I'd only seen parts of this before and I'm very glad to have seen it in its entirety now. What a great movie, both funny and involving. When I eventually add this to my collection, I'm wondering if I'll put it in my Comedy or Drama category on DVDAficionado. I'm thinking I need to create a new one just for this called "Ironic." I've read on the innovative significance of this movie and that's apparent in watching it. I find that my take on it is a little different than others', and obviously different from what seems to be the intended response. I feel that the bad guys got what was coming to them, so while I identified with them as protagonists, I didn't at all feel sorry for them. I get that it's murky and even troublesome to see the undefined treatment of violence and the positioning of notorious gangsters as protagonists, but I just wasn't on their side. That's not a complaint, though, because I enjoyed it that way. Maybe that's just my own dispositions talking. Either way, I loved it. Faye Dunaway is a wonderful actress.
Dead Poets Society twice... once w/ commentary, once without. Review coming soon.
