Because not only is it catchy and fun, it contains one of the main themes of the movie? It's like people don't even listen to lyrics anymore.

It's messy, confusing and has sort of a bad message to it that it tries to back peddle from, like the song is self aware that it's got bad advice....

Maybe it's better portrayed in the movie, but judging by those who have seen the movie and still don't like it, maybe not.

The song that was canceled due to lack of time because they wasted all their time on this mess,should of been in instead.

Oh lord, it's covers like this that can make a really good catchy song turn bad. I really like Love Is an Open Door, the film version of it anyway. It's cute, catchy, lyrically silly, and a nice parody of the typical Disney love song.

That's the worst Frozen song ever, and the kid trying to be the Spanish version of Bieber, ugh.

While I think that's a kinda cute (though nothing special) cover, I do agree that this kid is trying to be a bad copy of pre-"swaggy" Bieber.

That aside, it pleases me that at least one country tried giving a song other than "Let It Go" a time to shine.

No need to get offended. But I don't get how you can say it doesn't fit in the movie AT ALL if you truly get the message of the lyrics.

No that's not it at all. The trolls are supposed to be crazy and trying to fix Kristoff up with any woman he meets - that's the comedy of the song, but not the main message. They're singing about Kristoff on the surface but the underlying message is about ELSA. Look at this passage with Elsa in mind:

People make bad choices if they’re mad, or scared, or stressed

Nearly every time "true love" is mentioned in Frozen it's subtly about Elsa rather than Anna's cliche romances, including this song. It's a double meaning which is very common in other works by the Lopezes. It's actually very layered and interesting yet most people take it at face value and think of it as pointless filler about a troll wedding

This! That's why I actually like this song compared to the likes of I've Got a Dream and Ma Belle Evangeline, at least Fixer Upper, despite being kind of out of place, is a song that has an important message to it.

Yes, I understood that the message of the song is ultimately about Elsa; but I (again, personally) think it was handled in a really shoddy way, and it is a dreadful song, never mind the lyrical content of it. The realisation song could have come from Anna herself, or a more significant set of characters rather than the trolls. They just didn't do it for me in the film I guess.

The award for most racist Disney song lyrics is "Song of the Roustabout's" from Dumbo. The song may not be the "worst" musically, but my GOD are the lyrics are incredibly awkward to listen to.

My older sister and I agreed that Frozen Heart is a better song and while I do know that the "Song of the Roustabouts" came out in the 40's, it is still awkward.

i always assumed the workers were painted in shadow because it was stormy and therefore too dark to see facial details. i never saw the roustabouts as being black, white, asian or anything else, and thats still true to this day. maybe youthful innocence from when i first saw dumbo and then topped with a lack of knowledge about the world around me. [i would have been 3 or 4? maybe younger?]
anyway, ive always enjoyed the tempo of the song, how the beats fall when the hammers do. frozen heart i love for the same reason.

In the recent DVD edition, it's clear that the workers are black. I do like the music aspect of it (thanks to Frank Churchill), but if you put on the subtitles for this song it is INCREDIBLY awkward.

ok. i havent seen it, only have the original release and prior to that a worn out vhs that was taped off the tv, lol. still, i guess it was acceptable for the times, same as song of the south and the propoganda shorts from WW2, or showing characters smoking. it shows how much the way we see the world has changed, also how much the disney corporation has changed as well. im loathe to consider that movies might be edited to conform to todays standards. history cannot be re-written, and neither should these movies. ive heard rumors of cruella losing her cigarette, and she just wouldnt work without it. similarly removing the scene of Pinocchio with the cigar on pleasure island. i find the donkey-boy begging for his parents more traumatic than smoking.

Same here, but yeah sadly the Bluray/ DVD versions show that they're dark skin coloured singing about how they waste their money away and be called dirty Apes.

That's maybe why this song dodged everything while the Crows didn't; the shadows/ rain blocked everything in the earlier versions of the movie.

I do think that maybe a apology in front of the movie should be added in, instead of pretending it doesn't exist.
I think Loony Tunes DVD's do this, just to say sorry, this was created during a racist time period and we no longer hold these racist views and we apologize if this offends.
