According to the novelziation, Maginfico's family were killed by Spanish conquistador or something similar to them. I'm not sure I haven't read the novelization, only spoke to someone on twitter who read it and they said this. It's basically similar to how Abuela's husband was killed in Encanto. Then he decided to learn magic to he can never be hurt again.
How can they be killed by a spanish conquistador when the movie is set 200 years before the spanish colonialism era

This is like people saying the villains from Encanto from Abuelita flashback are spanish colonizers when the movie is set in the 1930s or so, and also Abuelita is an iberian colombian (spain origin) like the entire madrigal family (except Felix kids and Isabela that has indigenous features as a recessive gene)

I had the luck to attend the press screening of Wish this morning in Paris, France.
It's a lovely film, very beautiful and an instant Classic, perfect to celebrate 100 years of the studio and for the upcoming holidays.
Embargo is until next November, 21.

Really?

I heard from someone in the Box Office Theory forums that the review embargo lifts November 17th: https://www.reddit.com/r/boxoffice/comm ... &context=3.

I guess we have it officially confirmed, 28 is the most vocalists we've ever had for a single Disney song. Yes, I have actually wondered about this.

Why disney videos always have comments that look clearly like bots?

Considering HBO recently admitted to have bots in social media it wouldn't surprise me that Disney is using bots for positive comments

They’re not bots, dude.

Even I have someone I’m friends with on social media who’s excited for Wish and comments on videos and I’ve seen photos of him to know he’s not a bot.

There is a possibility that there might be bots in the comment section, but just because the comments aren't bashing Disney doesn't mean they are bots. Believe it or not, there are people who are genuinely excited for the movie. Twitter and Tiktok are the loud minority and often before a Disney movies come out, they like how to nitpick and hate on the movie. Like how they criticized Encanto and Moana before they came out.

Sizzle reel of Alan Tudyk's run at Disney, culminating with Valentino. Watch if you like seeing Tudyk make loud, excruciated animal cries in the booth.

Glad you liked it! How does it compare to Tangled, Frozen, and Encanto? And what did you think of the songs that haven't been released yet?

Now that you mention it, "At All Costs" and "This Wish (reprise)" are not part of the weekly released songs. But "Knowing What I Know Now" is the last one to be revealed next Wednesday before the soundtrack officially comes out.

I'm not the biggest Disney fan and heck I don't even like any of their 3d movies, Wish is the only movie Disney 3d movies that has caught my interest, but I am honestly tired of people on twitter and tiktok low balling Wish. I understand if they are cynical based on their previous bad movies, but I feel like at this point I feel like they want the movie to fail to make an point. Maybe they think that Disney has gone woke and believe that they should crash and burn for it.

They praise Dreamworks and Sony animation, but its not like they have never produced any bad movie. I mean before Spidverse, Sony made the emoji movies and Dreamworks movies are often hits and misses. Like everyone that Dreamworks was at their golden age after the release of the Puss in Boots the Last Wishes, but they released Ruby Gilman which flopped badly. It's the same thing for Disney, they will release some bad movies and they will release some good movies. Just because they made several bad movies doesn't mean the studio will crash and burn.
