When the trailer ended, I could hear a boy a couple of rows behind me ask his mom "Who's Tangled?"Polizzi wrote:I see no problem with the teaser trailer from Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," but I understand that Disney refuses to change the name back to, "Rapunzel," but here it goes. The trailer would be a lot better if it is called, "Rapunzel," besides, "Tangled." Maybe then, it will be pleased by both boys and girls alike, and they would be looking forward on seeing it. At least that there IS a, "Rapunzel," trailer, besides the, "Tangled," trailer, online instead of in theaters before the feature presentation of, "Toy Story 3." For the record, I give the trailer a grade, "C+." However, if they change the name back to, "Rapunzel," and brought the name, "Rapunzel," for the teaser trailer against, "Tangled," then I give the trailer a grade, "Infinite A+."
I actually wondered if that would happen, I'm not sure why, but I never actually thought it wouldtoonaspie wrote:When the trailer ended, I could hear a boy a couple of rows behind me ask his mom "Who's Tangled?"
To tell you the truth, after the trailer of Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," was played at the movie theater, which I went to last Tuesday night, my sister-in-law's cousin says Marco, the others down a few rows replied Polo, and I whispered loudly, "I miss Rapunzel." My brother Chris laughed after what I have said. Oh, and after the movie, "Toy Story 3," I asked my brother Nick about the trailer of Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," he said that did not like it one bit.toonaspie wrote:When the trailer ended, I could hear a boy a couple of rows behind me ask his mom "Who's Tangled?"Polizzi wrote:I see no problem with the teaser trailer from Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," but I understand that Disney refuses to change the name back to, "Rapunzel," but here it goes. OK. Thanks for the info.mawnck wrote:I don't believe it does ... although I don't recall for sure. That was a month ago now, and I wasn't taking notes at the time. It does begin with a fairly long expository narration by Flynn.DisneyFan09 wrote:Hi, I have a question. Does the movie begin with a story book or something?
Today was hat building day, and about all I can tell you is that everyone is turning and burning on Tangled, that the new shots I saw of the movie look real good, and I keep being reminded of the settings and color saturation of the 3-strip Technicolor Adventures of Robin Hood every time that I see it ...
I think I've mentioned this here before, but I've actually had people ask me why they named the character Tangled; couldn't they get the rights to the name Rapunzel?jpanimation wrote:I actually wondered if that would happen, I'm not sure why, but I never actually thought it wouldtoonaspie wrote:When the trailer ended, I could hear a boy a couple of rows behind me ask his mom "Who's Tangled?"
The French trailer debuted on YouTube; the movie will be released as Rapunzel (Raiponce) in France.U.S: Tangled
U.K: Tangled
Australasia: Tangled
Brazil: Tangled (Enrolados)
Mexico: Tangled (Enredados)
Portugal: Rapunzel
Netherlands: Rapunzel
Belgium: Rapunzel/ Raiponce (Flemish and French)
France: Rapunzel (Raiponce)
Germany: Rapunzel - Neu Verföhnt

My roommate's daughter got really upset when she first heard that they changed the title, because she thought they weren't going to do Rapunzel anymore. She calmed down once her mother explained that Tangled was Rapunzel. Of course, she hasn't seen the trailer yet...enigmawing wrote:I think I've mentioned this here before, but I've actually had people ask me why they named the character Tangled; couldn't they get the rights to the name Rapunzel?jpanimation wrote: I actually wondered if that would happen, I'm not sure why, but I never actually thought it would

Well on the upside they didnt use the Miley Cyrus "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" song as they did in the incomplete trailer. I have no idea what song it was that they replaced it with but it didnt sound any better.Polizzi wrote:To tell you the truth, after the trailer of Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," was played at the movie theater, which I went to last Tuesday night, my sister-in-law's cousin says Marco, the others down a few rows replied Polo, and I whispered loudly, "I miss Rapunzel." I think that comparison was being used to describe the humor found in the movie, not the movie itself, which is more of a traditional fairy tale.Snow White wrote:could you tell me if Tangled will be an epic movie or not?
I read that it's like Emperor's New Groove...
I hope Tangled/Rapunzel will be more epic than Emperor's New Groove...
I would say he's talking epic as in, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King type epic. Not like, The Odyssey type epic. In which case, I really hope Tangled is.jpanimation wrote:I think that comparison was being used to describe the humor found in the movie, not the movie itself, which is more of a traditional fairy tale.Snow White wrote:could you tell me if Tangled will be an epic movie or not?

As far as epic, I think they've described some big set pieces. I'm not really sure what you mean by "epic" though, but I don't think this movie would fit the traditional definition.
I agree with jpanimation. It's not "epic" by my definition either.Snow White wrote:Dear mawnck,
