A bit, yes. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm overreacting, but I kind of hope next year that Pixar falls short of its winning streak. I was happy when Ratatouille won, but now the results year after year are becoming more obvious and repetitive.

Well perhaps it's time for Disney, Dreamworks and company to raise their game in that case. As the saying goes, to be the best you have to beat the best and for me, Pixar have been the best in animation for a while now.

I would have had a bigger issue if HTTYD won over Tangled and Toy Story 3 combined (I'm not happy over Tangled being snubbed for a nomination, though.) Toy Story 3 winning isn't so bad. I think it was IMO the best out of the nominees. It was the critically acclaimed final film of Pixar's flagship film series. I would have been more shocked if they lost.

I'm glad Toy Story 3 won best animated picture! It should've won best picture too though... honestly it's the best movie I've seen since Return of the King and I saw it 9 times in theaters lol.

However I would've definitey given best song to "I See the Light" instead of "We Belong Together".

Let me put it this way: I listened to "I See the Light" like 16 times within three days and I probably haven't listened to "We Belong Together" 10 times lol.

I don't want to sound like a member of the morality mob, but why did you even think to make the comment in the first place? This isn't a comment that was blurted out randomly in an intense spoken conversation. When posting things on the Internet, there's a chance to review one's words and put things into perspective, even if just for a moment. And if hyperbole was simply your main intention, then please don't ever use such awkward themes such as grave illness again when making intentionally exaggerated and emotional comments. It's an embarrassment to go making claims that anybody intentionally caused Roy's cancer not only to John Lasseter, but to the Disney family as well.

DisneyJedi, I noticed that Luke warned you this morning in the <i>Tangled</i> thread but you are still continuing the habit of posting very hateful, mean-spirited comments. I don't know if are meaning these statements to be tongue in cheek or if you are really as upset as you seem. Either way, there is no place for comments such as yours in the real world, and they will not be tolerated here either.

Look, I actually am upset as I say I am. I mean, I was so upset that I was trying everything in my power to get myself out of my funk; even going for a walk. Of course, when my sister asked me for a reason, I snapped at her, saying that 'Randy Newman didn't deserve the Oscar' before I left and slammed the front door behind me.

And what makes it even more upsetting was that Tangled, Menken's first animated film score in YEARS, lost out on its only nomination, and I was so hoping to see it be his first win in years.

Moving on, is anybody else like me pleased with Randy Newman's win? I mean, I was supporting "I See the Light", but "We Belong Together" is a song I love just as much and listen to just as often.
