I was so excited and pumped for the Snow White, I like the live action adaptations, but all I felt is gone now. I don't like the changes, I don't like Zegler spitting on the classic. This might be the first live action to avoid. All about the Snow White is so off putting. I have my clown make up ready for its cinema release. I can't wait for the reviews.

I think Gadot and Zegler are both pretty, but I'm not sure of the look they came up with for Zegler's hair. I mean, SW's look isn't very appealing anyway even when it's straight on, but it should be more poofy and less flat?

This and the skirt is horrible as well. It's too poofy, it almost looks like she's twerking.

What a synergy! :) Tony Jay also voiced the Magic Mirror, so it`s a synergy that both actors who played Frollo in Hunchback were voicing the Magic Mirror!

Here's a textless version of the poster in higher resolution for anyone interested. A new trailer has also been rated, but we'll see if it's released online or not.

Oh, I didn't know that. That's really interesting.

They're trying to one-up Mulan in the Girlboss aspect.

Mulan: Loyal, Brave, True

Snow White: Fearless, Fair, Brave, True

The trailer looks really good. What I don't like is that the scenes where she wears her rag dress look with too much CGI. She looks weird in there.
I also notice that she lost her necklace. She had it when she's in the forest with the "prince" but she doesn't when she meets the dwarfs. Could it be some part of the plot?

It all started with Cinderella :"Have Courage and Be Kind"

The trailer looks great! I like the new song.

I have to admit I am excited to see the magic and new songs, but Zegler's acting does really suck, and the Snow White taking back her kingdom thing has been done three times. Whatever happened Snow White merely trying to survive and find love?

Well, it was a good trailer. I liked the beginning with the snow and the carriage, despite how it gave me a Deja Vu of Kenneth Branagh`s Cinderella`s origin scenes of the titular Princess. And it reminded me also a bit of Narnia. The scene of the well looked wonderful, as did the Queen`s view of the village, Snow White twirling around the forest when she picks the apple and the dwarves riding on the deers. The little girl who`s playing Snow White looks a little bit of Zendaya (lol :P). The song at the beginning was cute enough. Patrick Page`s voice as the Magic Mirror was recognizable. However, the Prince seems bland and just feels as bland as Eric from last years Mermaid remake. The scenes with the dwarves were cartoony, despite how Grumpy`s last line was clever. Overall, this new trailer gave a better look at the movie as a whole. Despite how they are obviously setting up the movie to be a feminist version of the story as opposed to it`s predecessor.

This one is slightly better, I have to admit. Though it still does feel a little strange and off. I don't want her to be a warrior, I want her to be this vulnerable, yet strong Snow White we know and love.

I will never forgive them they have removed The Silly Song from the movie. I was so excited to hear another version of this masterpiece. Oh well....

I agree that Cinderella was also an offender in that regard. I didn't think it was too bad to see Cinderella's mother there, but I had no idea how courage related to Cinderella's story. Particularly that version, Cinderella is even more passive than the 1950 original. Though I suppose the same applies to remake Mulan, they took all the character's agency and hard work and turned it into magical powers she had from the start of the film. So dumb.

That trailer is better than the last, a bit more classy. I liked the same shots I liked from the last trailer (the Queen on the balcony, Snow twirling) plus the one of Snow running up the castle stairs. Snow's scullery maid costume looks better to me here. And I liked what little more they showed of the Queen ordering her soldiers to find SW. All the stuff of SW talking to the Prince and the Queen, the talk of fighting the Queen, just comes across so odd.

That's probably the best trailer we've seen so far. The visuals are really pretty. But, I'm afraid the best this movie can hope for with me is Disney+ material. The injuries are just too deep.

It might just be specifically the "Whistle While You Work" segment where I think Zegler's trying too hard. I've liked her just fine in everything else we've seen from the film. I'm even warming up to her song, even as I'm annoyed that they have to swap in her signature songs with something more girlbossy.

Gadot still feels like a caricature, which is a shame since I was looking forward to her performance.

I don't personally mind the "Snow White takes back her kingdom from The Queen" plotline. If it's been done before, it's because that's just the natural way to play a conflict featuring an evil monarch. I think that specific directive would have been at home in a remake that wasn't so aggressively antagonistic toward the film it was based on. If that storyline flops, it'll have more to do with the direction of this specific film than the viability of the idea itself.

Agreed. For all the flack these remakes have received for "fixing the mistakes" of their animated predecessor,s it`s pretty astounding how the 2015 remake of Cinderella did particularly very little to fix those criticisms. In fact, it made Cinderella even more submissive in the remake and frankly more gentle and sweeter. For all of the rants that Cinderella gets for being too passive in Walt`s version, she does have her moments where she is downright assertive. Especially towards Lucifer. And she does comes across as a dignified and mature lady, ovrall. But the live action remake did nothing to fix all of the criticisms lobbed to her. The only things that it fixed was to set up Cinderella and Kit`s first meeting and to make the Prince an active character. But overall, it didn`t changed Cinderella herself.

And to Duster, I hope that my remark won`t offend you, cause it`s not my intention to trash her.

This trailer looks really good. When she smiles, Rachel Zegler is actually likeable as Snow White. Meanwhile, Gal Gadot is the best thing about the movie. I don't think her acting is bad, and it looks like she had a lot of fun playing the Queen.

Respectfully, it is not. It is literally this version's "Have Courage and Be Kind." Not everything has an agenda.

Also, taking back the kingdom makes sense. If your father remarried and then died, and your stepmother turned out to be evil and ruined your home, wouldn't you want to take it back from her? Snow White is a princess and heir apparent. She is the rightful ruler of her kingdom. I rewatched the original animated film last week and at the end I was like "Ok, so she goes with the prince to his castle, but then what happens to her own kingdom? Who is now in charge?"

She really is. I know I was already biased in her favor coming into it as a fan of her, but the first look of her in costume way back made me think even she couldn't pull off a win in this. But most of what we've seen of the Queen and the Hag in these past two trailers has been really good. I'm not sure if she'll top Sigourney Weaver, Charlize Theron, or Lana Parilla as far as my favorite versions of the Evil Queen character go, but I think I might get a little more out of her version over the original. The only scene of the Queen I think she'll be below the original is when the Hag has that long, creepy close-up as SW is biting the apple. Partly because it won't be the climax here considering SW wakes up and goes to battle afterwards, so it won't have as much impact.

Cinderella's "Have courage and be kind" is considered so good it is copied not only by more remakes but the exact phrase is used on a lot of Disney Princess merch. The courage part was so Cinderella would not despair during what life gives her from her parents' deaths and step family's abuse, and make it through all that.

DisneyFan09, do not worry, because I actually agree with all you said and none of it is really a bad thing in my opinion.
