Disney's Divinity wrote:Btw, possible spoilers for the Spring: Rumors are that the Underworld/Hades will be involved. Not sure how to feel about it for now, but it would allow them to have cameos of Cora, Pan, Daniel, Baelfire, the Huntsman, etc.
Mixed feelings. One feeling: YAY Greek mythology/Hercules and this will sound cool, especially with cameos, but the other feeling is "How stupid and corny!"

What's your source?

Poor Emma, its literally killing her being the DO. I loved seeing more of Snowing, but WTF with them being hit with magic ! I was like nooooooooooooo please not the Charmings !! I hope this doesn't ultimately effect their relationship with Emma. I'd like more Snow and Emma moments for sure as well. Its always implied but not seen.

Its kind of coming from all over; Adam said the theme of 5B will be 'Hell!' when asked to sum it up, they've been casting for a 'dapper, sinister gentleman', which I assume could be Hades ? Or maybe even the Devil himself ? Though that seems a bit unlikely for Once.

Well, I've always wanted them to take on Greek mythology, but not by setting up Hades as a villain. :| I would rather see the real Ursula who is a cruel goddess of the sea or find out that the three women who raised Rumpel were the Fates, for example. Zeus is way more of a villain than Hades anyway, and I doubt they're using the Disney film as a jumping off point to justify making Hades evil, since Disney rarely acknowledges that movie anymore. I'd rather see Zeus, Hera, or Athena as a villain over Hades.

why exactly does Emma need Rumple specifically to pull out the sword? why not someone else who's already "brave" like Merida herself?

Im excited about Hades/Underworld only b/c the movie is so neglected by Disney and maybe this will help its popularity and Disney will want to promote it more. On the other hand Im not seeing the use of Arthur/Camleot changing how they treat SATS so maybe it doesn't really make a difference anyway. :\

My thought exactly! Why not Henry even?

And as for Hades being the villain, the description sounds like it!

Maybe because the Dark Rumpel In her Head is saying get the previous Dark One for this?

The scene of freeing Merlin was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! It's interesting the usher that knew Emma when she was younger in the real world was Merlin all along!

But what was with the dream catcher at the end? Why did it show that particular memory? To serve the plot? Could they have seen other memories and that was just the one they coincidentally found first?
Disney's Divinity wrote:Merlin is hot. It's too bad Regina is with a dud like Robin Hood, I'd have liked her paired with Merlin instead.
Merlin is attractive but I find Robin to be much hotter. That's my opinion. I don't find him to be a dud in personality either. I think he's good.

I wonder if you are an episode behind? The Charmings get the spell taken off of them in the latest episode.

I am indeed an episode behind due to watching it in the UK :)

But I sure am glad they get the spell taken off them ! I didn't want that to become a wedge between them and their daughter.

Ah. I hope you don't get the episodes spoiled for you in this thread! But I will say, though the spell is taken off, much more drama ensues! But don't worry, none between the Charmings! :)

Haha they look fab !!

And oh my gosh .... The emotions in the last episode ! Poor Henry. And poor poor Emma. I get the feeling, especially from this past episode that there is so much more going on with her than just being the DO. If in fact she even really is the DO and isn't just pretending ? Something I can't quite put my finger on....saviour Emma is still in there.

And please can Snow have an episode to herself ?? Feel like it's been so long :(

The guy on the left is Paul Telfer. I only know him right off from the Hercules mini-series where he played the titular character. I don't know who the other two are.

I can't remember anything about the suitors from Brave or how to tell them apart.

Looks like the next episode is called The Bear and The Bow.

That's rather interesting and cool

Midseason Finale/Spring Spoilers: Cora will be in the last episode before the show goes on break. I believe the episode is called "Souls of the Departed." Also casting calls sound as if Hercules and Megara will appear in the spring. If they are going to the Underworld, I'm glad Cora will be on the show. Maybe her, Regina, and Zelena can go to family therapy together.

I wonder, if they go to the underworld. Should they do the "King's of Darkness" like what they did with the "Queen's of Darkness?" So, not only will we have Hades, but how about Jafar and Dr. Facilier? That way Aladdin, Hercules and The Princess and the Frog get in the story line.

Jafar is not dead though in the OUAT universe. He became a genie at the end of OUAT in Wonderland.

Oh my goodness: YES. But instead of Jafar, could it be Chernaborg or the Horned King?

Also, Cora has been confirmed and there is a strong chance we will get Pan. Do you think Neal and Cruella will return? I think if Neal is in this, he’ll come back to the show b/c they’ll get his soul back onto Earth.

Where do you see that? I can only find Hades

So much for spoiler bars.

I don't think they should waste time with Kings of Darkness when they're already going to have Hades + several of their past villains on hand. Besides, the QoD arc was bad, so let's not repeat that. Of course, the casting call makes it sound as if Hades may not be an out-and-out villain and I'd prefer that, actually.

If they made Dr. Facilier a minor villain, that'd be cool though.
disneyprincess11 wrote: Where do you see that? I can only find Hades
Their names aren't listed, but it's obvious it's them:

"For an early Season 5B episode, the ABC series is guest-casting the roles of a “dashing, strapping young man” who is “single-minded in his pursuit of his destiny: to be the greatest hero who ever lived” and a “plucky, 18-year-old female adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit.”

Admittedly, the girl could be someone else, but I'm still putting my bets on Megara

My only concern is that the balance has come back beautifully with the various fairy tale characters supporting the main cast, who each are now being given their own proper moments to shine. I don't want that to be filtered down again to focus on the new set of supposed Greek mythology characters, the old gang of villains, and the new storyline. Hope the great balance they have at the moment remains.

And still, more of Snow please. I won't stop wanting it haha ! I know the season is all about Emma, but JMo hasnt actually been in it as much as season 4, episode per episode, which has actually been quite nice. Which I presume is how the other characters have been allowed to come back and breathe a bit.

Victoria Smurfit liked a tweet about the "Souls of the Departed" episode title. I don't keep up with Twitter if she still likes comments from the cast/creators of the show or not, but if it means more of Cruella, I am ready.

I'd love for season 6 to involve goddess Ursula and Jafar, now that they're breaching mythology. Actually, Aladdin/Jafar could make sense next season as far as cross-promotion goes, although I guess Genies doesn't have a set date yet?
