And if you think about it, all the new WDAS shorts (Ballad of Nessie, Paperman, and Get A Horse!) have been hand-drawn or have hand-drawn elements in them. I just hope that the short that is attached to Big Hero 6 (I'm pretty sure there'll be one), is also hand-drawn so Disney is more confident in releasing a hand-drawn feature in the future.
Thank you. I just don't understand why Sotiris is always a hope killer.
He's just stating the facts. He's the only one around here actually not getting anyone's hopes up. Because right now, nothing indicates a hand drawn feature is going to be made anytime soon.

Seriously, no offense TsWade2, but you really need to relax over this.

I can't help it. I mean, I'm trying, but it's just to hard to handle to wait for another hand drawn animated movie to come. And Sotiris keeps saying that hand drawn is officially dead which I think it's injustice.

My advice is that I would just try to move on from this, because it could be a very long time until Disney does the next hand-drawn film. I can understand where you are coming from, because I can be the same way myself, obsessing over things like this. But at the end of the day, it won't matter much, because Disney will do what it does, to make money. A tough pill to swallow, I know. I always have to remind myself that obsessing over things like this, will just eat me up inside, and I end up hurting myself a lot more than necessary. And miss out on other things in life.
Besides, as long as Disney makes entertaining films, isn't that what ultimately matters? I think "Frozen" fully made me a lot more accepting of this medium, because it was a great film in this style.

Well, I guess that's true. i'll try. It won't be easy, but I'll try. Personally I hope Get A Horse gets the Oscar and keep doing those hand drawn shorts.

The only animated short I know that's coming is
Party Central and that's a Pixar short/continuation of
Monsters University.
If not this year, then one will come in either 2015/16.

Well, that will be shown in front of Muppets Most Wanted next month (mainly because of The Good Dinosaur being delayed).
I can definitely see Disney making a new hybrid short to be played in front of Big Hero 6. I see that being an annual tradition from now on.

I think Disney is going to have a Frozen short before Big Hero 6 since it's destined at this point to become the next big franchise. I assume it will be Olaf centered about him doing something summer related.

As tempting as it sounds, but I like to see another 2D hand drawn/CGI short.

This ^ Something like Tangled Forever After; but Elsa in as well, since she's super popular too.
Olaf and Elsa's big summer adventure or something.

You can still be optimistic, I think most of us are to some extent, you just have to think longer term, the bigger picture. And not bring it up all the time repeatedly. Hand drawn doesn't have to be declared dead just because the conversation hits a lull.

Hand-drawn animation is dead? I guess the fact that two of the Best Animated Feature nominees this year are hand-drawn supports that statement. Not to mention Paramount's first movie from their newly opened animation unit is hand-drawn. Plus Studio Ghibli keeps producing them and Disney is working on a technology that combines the two mediums.
If there exists proof that hand-drawn animation is dead, I haven't found it.
