That's great news, Atlantica~! Very happy for you.
I haven't seen much about the show except a few details about Merida and episode titles.
Then again, I haven't been keeping up with news because summer is such a boring time of year. I can't wait for Fall to start already.

I never posted it here, but I read a while back that Merida's parents will appear at some point this Fall, too.
I'm glad Zelena will be doing things other than being locked up in a cell. The tornado thingis pretty cool, actually. I know fan response to the character has always been mixed, but I've always liked Zelena.
I'm curious how the first half will turn out. Even though I think Camelot/Merlin/Dark Emma all sound interesting on paper, for some reason I haven't been enamored for this plot. Hopefully, I'll actually get interested once the show returns. I believe it's coming back the 27th?

Yes, it's on the 27th. I feel the same about the new season. I like the Dark Emma angle but I'm not feeling the Camelot/Merida elements.

I'm confused: If Emma is evil, why is she good? The darkness took Rumple in 5 seconds

I guess for some reason Camelot feels a little...mundane? At least, after most of the other season arcs.
Very minor spoiler, but one of the upcoming episodes is titled "The Bear and the Bow." I hated that we got "Brave" over that.

Yeah, it seems she'll be struggling with the darkness which won't consume her instantly or completely. It looks like she'll be going in and out of her state as The Dark One probably because she was the Savior and she already had white magic within her.

Exactly. I never found the Arthurian legend to be that interesting, to begin with.

That's a nice little Easter egg. It's kind of funny that after all this time "The Bear and the Bow" is finally a title.
Disney's Divinity wrote:I hated that we got "Brave" over that.
You and me both. Especially since the reason they changed it was so stupid.

It's not quite that for me. It's just that, it's not like, say,
The Wizard of Oz,
Frozen, or the Queens where you wonder--how will they depict or twist X popular character/scenario? I mean, what could they do, make Arthur/Merlin evil or have Emma pull out Excalibur as twists?

It doesn't even have the same appeal as going to Neverland because Camelot isn't quite as fantastical as far as having mermaids, eternal brats, fairies, flying, and so on. That may be why they tied
Brave into the story? (Too bad I'm not a fan for that to excite me...) The actor for Arthur in the preview is a little disappointing. Hopefully they do a good job with Merlin.
What's more annoying is I haven't heard anything about interesting characters like the Lady of the Lake, Mordred or Morgan le Fay. I'd take Madame Mim even. The love triangle business with Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot is far down the list of my Camelot hopes, but it looks the most likely to come up. Probably comparisons to Regina/Robin/Marian? :/ Right now I'm wishing I'd been right about Jafar or if they went to Narnia (if that's even possible).
But since I'm *****in', let me mention something positive I just read:
Rubywill be back for multiple episodes.

I miss the background Storybrooke characters, so I'm happy.

I wouldn't put it past them.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and I agree.
Disney's Divinity wrote:That may be why they tied Brave into the story? (Too bad I'm not a fan for that to excite me...)
The only interesting thing they could do with Brave is the element of the Will-o'-the-Wisp and the Witch. Maybe they could conflate the character of Morgan with the Witch? That could be intriguing. I just don't want a straight-forward rehash of Brave. That would be so dull.

Lady of the Lake and Morgan are definitely the most interesting characters in the Arthurian legend, far moreso than Merlin. They could do many great things with them. Also, they'd be fresher in the eyes of the public unlike Arthur/Merlin/Lancelot which have been portrayed much more often in the media.

Yay for Ruby coming back ! Ginny said that she feels this season is getting back to the core characters which will be just plain wonderful
The promo looked amazing as well; I'm much more excited for this season than the last coming back for sure....the whole Dark Swan spin has me so intrigued.
Trying to power through all the seasons beforehand though - on episode 6 of season 2 so far .... I'd forgotten how brilliant season 1 was through going back.

An episode title near the end of 5A is "Nimue"--the Lady of the Lake? I wonder if she and Merlin will have a romantic spin here or not. Also, I've been wondering if they might mean for Zelena to be a stand-in for Morgan le Fay.

Once Upon a Time to finally explore an LGBT relationship in season 5
http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/18/on ... 8ae6919259
I would love to have a LGBT character on the show. But, my problem is that it's the "manly girl" who's a lesbian.
