I'm so sorry, UmbrellaFish. Wow, she was your favorite person in the world! And now you don't have her. That's just so sad. I hope when you face the funeral, you have the strength to face it. But just let it out, man. It's a big thing.

Thank you all. Last night was a bad night, so after I posted that I watched some I Love Lucy which we watched together when I was growing up— she always reminded me of Lucy Ricardo and Rose Nylund (also watched GG with her)... she was a very funny lady who’d do anything to make us laugh. Her funeral is Wednesday and we will start seeing family tomorrow as they arrive tonight. I just finished writing a journal entry about her, then I will take a shower and maybe watch some Carol Burnett before going to bed.

She sounds like she was so fun to be around. How nice she was to try and make everyone in her family laugh. I'm glad you can watch some stuff that helps you feel better.

Her funeral was yesterday. I was dreading it... I sobbed like a baby at her husband, my grandfather’s funeral. But the arrangements for my grandmother were so perfect for her and so beautiful. Her grandson-in-law delivered a wonderful eulogy which was heartfelt and left us laughing, just like our grandmother did. It was still very sad, but my grandmother lived a colorful life and her funeral reflected that. I feel very at peace with it all, although I will always miss her.

I am sorry you are still sad, but I'm glad she got a funeral fit for the great person she was that you are at peace.

UF, I'm glad her funeral had some joy to it, celebrating the joy she brought to you and her family. <3 I think you're brave for going to the funeral; that's something I've never done (I can't handle that), and I hope that experience helps you feel a little better. Of course you'll always miss her; she's a piece of you.

Aaaaaand now the President and the First Lady have been diagnosed with Covid-19. I wish the President and First Lady a speedy recovery and I hope no one else from the White House contracts the virus. I hope Vice President Biden, Dr. Biden, and the rest of their team and family did not contract the virus from the Trump team during the debate. What a year this has been!

Let's see how much he downplays it, though. If he doesn't have serious symptoms doesn't mean that it's not a serious disease that so many people have died from. #NoFaithInHim (And Pence and his wife tested negative.)

*edit* Joe Biden and his wife also tested negative. And even though I don't like Trump doesn't mean I wish him bad health, but he hasn't taken the virus as seriously as he could have so hopefully he changes his tube about it.

I’m thankful the Bidens tested negative, but they will need to keep testing for the next several days to a week to be sure.

Trump has been admitted to Walter Reed and is expected to stay the next few days, although they say it is only a precaution for now. They said similar about UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson who ended up intubated but ultimately survived.

I voted by mail a week or two ago (seriously, time is melding together!), and I still need to verify that it "counted." The ballot came with instructions on checking, so thanks for the reminder!

Thank you all for voting! I’m mildly worried because I scribbled my signature but I don’t think it matters if you vote in person? Can you track your ballot if you early voted in person?

^ USA.gov says: "Each state makes its own voting rules. Check with your state or local officials for the latest changes for the 2020 elections." So I'd say Google that question along with the state you live in! If you can't find the question, maybe Google "(Your County) Elections" and maybe you can find their contact info?

My vote did count, says my county's voting site, so that is a HUGE relief. I was EXTREMELY worried about the signature thing, but mine counted. I think if you vote in person, they already looked at your driver's license to make sure you are you, so maybe your scribble won't be an issue?

EDIT: I found it! “Ballot received by county.” So extraordinarily un-Democratic that we have to worry about this!
