I'd put DtD higher, but I love this, too. Wow, they've really done well with the musical so far. The only dud has been WDYKAL?
I feel much more confident in Anna's actress now.

The song "True Love" is pretty bad.

While Patti's performance was excellent, the song itself left me a bit underwhelmed. I think it lacked something in terms of structure, like it needed another verse or a bridge or something. I feel the cut
Life's Too Short (Reprise) achieved this moment better, despite its short length. I still liked the song though.
Here's how I'd rank the new songs for the musical (so far).
1) Dangerous to Dream
2) Monster
3) True Love
4) What Do You Know About Love?

The show looks great so far from those pictures. The pants are still... Eh.

Yeah I don't like the pants. But I do like the other costumes and scenery.

I don't really like the costumes for Anna and Elsa. I would have preferred more movie accurate outfits rather than the different takes we got here. The scenery is beautiful though.

The scenery and effects look beautiful. I love the costumes, too, but I'm not too fond of Elsa wearing pants. Other than that, it looks really amazing.

Cool! It actually looks really great! It was wise to keep Olaf a puppet worked by a person I think, and almost all the costumes and special effects look great. Kristoff looks hunky and I like that aspect...

The trailer I have to say really didn't sell it to me .... ?! I've been intrigued so far, but the trailer kind of killed it for me. I have no idea what music they used either, guess it was the overture ? But it wasn't recognisable as from the film score at all, think that's a bit of a misstep, personally.
Got much more excitement from the Disney theme park show for sure ! Costumes were nicer there too.

It was an instrumental version of one of the new songs called "Monster".
This photo was taken at the red carpet premiere for the show. I love Caissie's dress! Patti's dress on the other hand is...really something.

The hidden folk from the Broadway show will be in the sequel.
The musical switches out the rock trolls of the first film with a group of sylvan “hidden folk” inspired by Scandinavian folklore. Audiences may not have seen the last of them.
“We’ve thought a lot more about those hidden folk,” Anderson-Lopez said. “That’s all I’m going to say.”

I wonder if the decision to use the hidden folk in the Broadway show was to slowly acclimate people to the idea of seeing them in the sequel...or if there was no connection and the choice in fact inspired their addition in the sequel.

^interesting, they really dont look like they fit in with the Frozen universe "design" wise but Im sure their animated versions will be slightly re-designed... I do hope they keep the tails!
anyone know if they kept Kristoff's "adopted by trolls" backstory for the musical?

That'll do, cash cow. That'll do.

But, no, I'm really glad for the show's success since everything's looked and sounded good so far.
