Hi, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to ignore you! The shot you mention is in the movie, but it goes by pretty quick...I mean, Rapunzel looks so beautiful every other second, I think she's allowed to have one unflattering face.
Also, not that it matters, but I'm a 'she.' I didn't mean to be mysterious XD
Every piece of animation doesn't always look flattering XD

New couple dolls of Flynn and Rapunzel. Flynn looks like he just came from a funeral

Flynn's a girl!?
Phan258: Since everyone is asking questions I'd thought I would ask you one!

My question is regarding the advertising of the movie, would you say the trailers, etc. Would you say that they represent the movie poorly or are they accurate as to how the movie is?

Good idea putting this on there now. Zach's isn't really spoilery, but Mandy's is. I was taken back when she started talking about the plot point in question, but I'm fine with it now. I hope I didn't sound upset, because I LOVED THESE INTERVIEWS.

My first instinct was to say 'NO!', and I'm one of the people who doesn't mind the commercials that much! But thinking a little harder on this, I have to say it's almost impossible for me to -really- answer you because much of what we see in the trailers
is not in the movie at all. For example: the "hair fight," the scene with Flynn getting flattened by Rapunzel's hair as Max laughs at him, all of the music--even some of the sample dialogue is changed in the final edit. So, technically, no, these sample scenes really don't represent the film because they're not even in it.
In terms of tone, I'd say yes there's plenty of humor, but since some of the drama would be spoiler-heavy, they can't really put it in a trailer anyway. I hope I'm communicating what I mean effectively....let me know if I'm not, haha!
ETA: If you want a better idea of the true film, watch the clips in the featurettes. Most of those made it in the final version as far as I remember.

I have a new respect for Zach now after watching his interview. He knows his Disney/Pixar facts/trivia.
That Flynn doll creeps me out. Looks more like bounty hunter Flynn. No.
Zorro Flynn. Where's his mask and cape?

Pathé in Rotterdam. It was really cool. They had the three matching posters up. With Flynn in the middle.

In Pathe they have 3D, right? I went to Pathe in Utrecht once and they had 3D there. (alice in wonderland

All Pathé theaters have 3D as far as I know. And yes: awesome

In the summer I did a posting on my blog about Tangled at Comic-Con, which many of you were nice enough to read. Now, with the movie almost in theaters, I decided it would be fun to do multiple posts highlighting different aspects of the film. I'd love for you all the read.
The first is about concept art:

A wonderful read, the concept art really is lovely, and seeing it compared to the actual footage really does show the amount of effort going into this movie! Thanks so much for sharing, I look forward the next installment!

DisneyDude2010 thank you so much for posting that link, I've been looking forward to this one forever! She's so evil it only took 56 seconds of footage to make me love to hate her.

Poor Rapunzel, no wonder she has no self-confidence.

OK, that Mother Gothel video just made me more excited than anything else to see this film. If they had put some of those scenes in the trailer, word of mouth would be spreading a lot better and faster for this film.

Wow!! WOW!!! I have to admit, I was kinda thinking they were going to play her off as too silly in the vid but once she said "You won't be leaving this tower EVER!!!!", I was like Dang. That was pretty scary stuff. They kinda gave away the ending though. lol But still who cares, it looks both incredibly awesome and scary at the same time.
She reminds me of Lady Tremaine so far. She has that sort of voice that shifts in pitch and when she lets loose, she can be really frightening.

Thanks for answering my question. I wanted to know because EVERY single review I've read is that it is not Shrek-like and yet the trailers make it look like Shrek.

Great article! But maybe you could add comparisons of Rapunzel vs the final version?
Cool! When Gothel says "You are not leaving this tower ever!" it reminded me a lot of the Other Mother in Coraline, but is it just me though or does Mother Gothel not look pretty whatsoever?
