It's interesting how the name isn't mentioned...I wonder when those discs were pressed, how long ago they thought that they weren't going to name it
Rapunzel...
And it seems like those caps are from LighthouseMike, our own UD member!

The trailer on the DVD was made when the contender for the new title was "The Secet of the Tower". (which was so much better than Tangled). It is really obvious with the emphasis given on the tower and the word "secret" as the key word.

Even the dvd menu for trailers and sneak peeks doesn't mention a movie title for the movie. All the more reason for me to keep supporting the title "Rapunzel" as it hasn't been set in stone on any official publication that the movie is called "Tangled" yet! ( dellusional much? Yes, more then likely... )

The reason that the official new title is not "printed" for the teaser on the Dvd is because of technicals reasons as they knew the title was about to change but they had to distribute the teaser for making the Dvd itself before the new final change, that's all.
Print the Tangled's title eveywhere is not supposed to be done by magic as the change is very recent.
Tangled's title is official now and is already also on book's descriptions on Amazon for example though...

You're right, though. I don't think a Disney hero has gotten drunk in a while.
I'm surprised nobody remembers the scene in Ratatouille when Linguini is shown visibly drunk from drinking wine with Skinner.
'If you're gonna name a food, you should give it a name that sounds delicious. Ratatouille doesn't sound delicious. It sounds like "rat" and "patootie." Rat-patootie, which does not sound delicious.'

Wow, I totally forgot about that! I think it works (without the potential of complaint from soccer moms) since it was a really underhanded, rotten way for Skinner to try to trick Linguini.

I don't know how I forgot about Linguini! Gosh! You're right!
But wow.... that looks like sort of a Teaser Trailer (guess the real one we've seen won't be done in time for the TPatF DVD release). But it's absolutely gorgeous.
You know, when I heard "painterly," I thought that I would be satisfied with combining the 2 types of CG I love best (the fluidity and skill of character animation in Pixar, with the lush and gorgeous props and settings of the Tinker Bell series). But this looks above and beyond that. It's something new, and so beautiful! I cannot wait to see some more finished pieces!

I'm curious what music they will use for the teaser. I doubt they'll use a pop song. So there's two possibilities, either some generic music from an old movie, or a snippet of a theme from the score for the movie by Alan Menken...

The images from the teaser are gorgeous! I'm a little disappointed that it is just a teaser though, maybe I'm asking for to much but I feel like the teaser should have come sooner than this and we should be getting an actual trailer at this point. Then again, if the title dispute prevented them from releasing this teaser with a title, then it would have been impossible for them to actually release a official trailer.
I think this does prove one thing though. This film is going to look better than any other CGI film we've seen. Now all I hope is that the human characters look as good in motion as they did in that publicity pic we saw a little while ago.

That. Is. GORGEOUS!!!!
Honestly, this should've been done last year for PATF. Im saying this, because technically, this is the world's SECOND glimpse of the film.

Hey Mike!
First of all, this is robster from al the Madonna forums

Didn't know you were such a Disney fan as well
Second of all, could you tell us what kind of music is used for the teaser trailer? Pop music, classical music? Scary, happy, mysterious, any info would be appreciated
Thanks very much for the screencaps!

Yeah, the visual style is breahttaking. If anyone had told me that the first capture of the teaser trailer was a painting based on that pre-production artwork piece we have known for a while, I would have believed them without a doubt! It has a very painterly feel, in terms of lighting, color, composition and a sense of warmth that typical CGI animation lacks. It looks lush and lively instead of flat and plastic. I can't wait to see this teaser trailer in motion. And then the characters of course.
In regards to the actual trailer. People have stated that the actual trailer for the movie will be attached to Toy Story 3 when that hits theatres on june 18th. So we need to wait for the trailer for about 3 to 3,5 months. Untill that time I'm sure they will keep our interest up by releasing more visuals from the movie. Especially since production moves along and more scenes, sets and shots get finished. I mean, they are releasing a LOT of visuals for Toy Story and have been for months now.

THIS is the angle that will make the movie a success for Disney. The mystery, the enchantment, the fairytale aspect and not downplaying it as a generic, run of the mill comedy. This has a Disney vibe without coming across as childish, or girly. This is epic WIN!!!
And the music, it's stunning!

Oooooo, very nice! I think teaser should start playing in theaters asap!
