Jodi returning would be awesome! I hope they use other Disney voice actors as well!

Ms. Rose would be appropriate now.

So the original Enchanted was on Disney channel tonight and I just caught the end of it as I got home from work. Then I remembered there was going to be a sequel this year and it made me wonder if Amy Adams / Giselle will finally be included in the Princess line? I heard that she wasn't originally because they didn't want to pay her royalties? Any truth to that? It'd be nice to see more Enchanted merch, though. :P I really enjoy the first film.

Hooray! Animation! :D

But I really must say, the animation for Enchanted was beautiful.

The main reason why Giselle hasn't been made part of the regular Princess line is because Disney/Mattel would have to pay considerable royalties to use the likeness of Amy Adams. Giselle is the only princess who'se facial appearance is so completely tied up with the actress who portrays her on the screen. I can't see Disney loosening the purse-strings and including Giselle in the regular line-up, sadly.

You suppose we should have gotten a trailer or something of the movie by now? I know it's only February, but shouldn't we have something of it officially shown for the public already? What's taking them so long?

Are they really going to start shooting soon? I mean, Amy still needs to loose her baby weight from that pregnancy. I wouldn't go as far as to call her fat, but she's noticeably heavier than she was in the original Enchanted. it would be weird to see her character suddenly different like that. maybe they'll just start doing scenes without her for now, maybe record some dialogue since animation can take a while.

Ah, so it was true. That is pretty lame.. thanks for the conformation!

Well, BackgroundActorman1976 said he spoke with Patrick Dempsy who confirmed they were filming shortly after February last year. I'm not sure when Amy got pregnant but it seems like they would have had time then to shoot the movie?

Amy gave birth around 8 months ago, and her apperance on the Super Bowl episode of "Ellen" shows that she's back in the same shape as before.

This movie is coming out this year? For some reason, I thought this was all kind of a thought, but not something that was seriously going to happen. :o

Ah well. As long as Amy Adams is involved, it can't be that bad. Hope Menzel will come back and sing this time. Hope Narissa stays dead.

Oh, wait--I forgot this means another Menken soundtrack! Turn that frown upside down.

Wait .... has this been confirmed anywhere though ?! Doesnt Disney normally have a press release / announcement before a major project happens ?

I can't find any news on it since last February. Maybe Disney scrapped the project because of "fatty" Amy Adams?

I hope it wasn't scrapped. That'd be really disappointing. :(

Kind of reminds me how we didn't get much info (unless I'm wrong) on the first Enchanted till its release date came closer.

There hasn't really been any news on this and it's not gonna happen this year for sure.... :(

I hope it will happen soon though, I've been looking forward to this for quite a long time. I'm also super excited for Brave, Merida seems so cool!

one question: Will the original cast return? If there's one thing I hate it's the Mean Girls 2 situation, a whole different cast with a similar story.

I can't imagine it would be released this year, without us having heard anything about it. We can hope for 2012, I guess! Myself, I'm sort of fine without a sequel. In fact, I would prefer it that way. I'm not generally a fan of sequels -- very few win me over completely.

Well, if Patrick Dempsy said "they were shooting pretty soon" and that was a while ago, I can only guess it has been delayed. But the point is, they must have a working script compleated to start shooting right ?

Oh my gosh though, I just thought ! Could he have meant they start recording LINES soon ?! For the animated part ?! As that would take a few years to get the animation done !!!

That's right. I remember it, too. I never heard about the movie before I saw the trailer.
