Now with listening to the whole song, I must say, I have the same thoughts that I had before. I'm extremely disappointed with how the song turned out. It's really not like the original at all; sure it has most of the same lyrics, but it's really slow and it seems to be missing the exciting, magical quality that even the worst Elphie's had. I'm actually quite bummed about how it turned out. I just hope that they don't ruin another song. I'm actually going to listen to the Broadway recording so I can make myself feel better.

It's actually almost the same arrangement as Idina Menzel's pop version. Which, I'll assume you guys don't like either. I don't like the Glee version as much, but it's not bad. I actually think the tempo is too fast.

I actually liked their version of "Defying Gravity." Though I can't really compare it to the original--it's hard comparing a pop ballad with Broadway. And I think it's better than Menzel's pop version of the song.

Maybe they'll do it again in the future, with a more faithful cover of the song.

According to Wikipedia (which may or may not be correct), you'll finally hear Jenna Ushkowitz (along with Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale) in True Colors. We haven't heard her sing a solo since Tonight so I'm glad to listen to it.

I can't wait until next week's episode. I'm really excited to see Rolling On A River and Dancing With Myself. I'm not too fond of their version of Defying Gravity (which I never thought I would say, alas, I have). This is going to be a great season.

We finally get new Glee after 2 weeks and no one's updated this?! FOR SHAME!

Anyway, I love Artie's voice! I can't wait for the whole baby drama to be out in the open. I'm glad Tina doesn't really have a stutter cause that would have been annoying the entire show. And that scene with Sue and her sister at the end... heart breaking! I totally teared up at that, it was a really nice and unexpected scene. Good to see they're starting to give these characters some depth. Btw, I'm still kinda eh about their Defying Gravity

Does anyone know if any stores will be getting exclusive stuff for the Volume 2 CD? Like bonus tracks?

That finale was simply incredible! I really don't know how I'm going to last four months! I am also really happy that Don't Rain On My Parade was sung completely. Most of the time half of the song is cut out, but I'm really glad that they kept it in its entirety. I can't wait!

Not to go serious on this thread, but am I the only one who thought the baby drama with Mr. Schu was overblown? I mean, he was married to the woman! I would've been pissed off, but that really wouldn't have been something I'd have ended my marriage over--I would've done that over the fact that she's a b*tch. But I'm sure he had to have known that when they were married. It just seems like they overblew it so he could end up with Emma. I mean, they needed to get the wife out of the story (though she actually got more interesting the past few episodes), but this just seems like they're trying to overlook the horribleness of what he's doing to me. At least they're not doing that with Quinn though.

"MLWSWY" turned out okay. Though I guess I couldn't have expected them to be as good as Clarkson.

I really can't wait until April 13th! I'm really excited about the return of Kristin Chenoweth and the addition of Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff. The rest of the season is going to be spectacluar; and I really hope they can top Sectionals because that was freaking amazing; I can't wait for regionals, either.

And by they way, does anyone know in which episode the following picture occured in?

Image

Was it from the director's cut of the pilot? I haven't seen that, so I guess that would make sense. But, does anyone recognize it?

The cap is from the Screener Version of the pilot, which includes more scenes than the Director's Cut. The Glee Club have to wear the old costumes, which were used in an earlier scene of the 1993 Nationals with young Will, when the glee club performed "That's The Way (I Like It)".
